My lower back has been in pain for a while, I can't lie down flat on my back without feeling my lower back complain. I bought this originally as a body pillow to snuggle up with, but ended up sleeping with this pillow under my knees to lessen the pressure on my lower back. I have been sleeping deeper with the use of this pillow. I was very confused when this came as a roll and was extremely flat. I had no idea that the small pieces of memory foam were smushed together and that I had to actually separate the pieces with my hands by shaking and twisting the pillow. I originally just left my pillow out to "inflate" on its own, but after a few days when I noticed that it still didn't resemble a pillow I thought it was a dud. I then read reviews on the product and found that I had to fluff up the pillow myself and lo and behold, it was a perfectly functional pillow!
