do you have to apply on both sides of the seam or just one side? also if it's one side, is it the inside or outside? thanks!

How many tubes would be needed to seal a 2-person sil nylon tarp? It has a ridge seam and two "gable end" seams.

One tube should do the job, unless you really goop it on thick and heavy. I have been working on a rainfly for a 4-person tent. It has many seams so I had to get a second tube. A two-person, simple tarp should pose no problems to cover with a single tube, IMHO.

Will this work on an older tent to seal the seams?

Can I use this to adhere screen mesh to patch a 4 inch hole in the mesh portion of a lightweight tent?

I think it would work fine. Down side is that there is not as much surface area for the adhesive to bond to. I personally would hand stitch the patch to the screen and then go over the stitching and the overlapping portion (border) of the patch with the Seam Grip.
