The is more of an opaque clear material rather than just clear but thee circle around the apple logo is clear. Even with that I still like the look of it. It isn't big and bulky and it has protected the phone really well. I work on a farm and so far no dust has gotten in to my phone. I also took my phone out of the lake the other day and took some under water videos. Not a drop of water leaked in. Even though the phone is water resistant it's nice to know that the case does what is meant to do.
