The machine was easy enough to put together but my three star rating is really based on a couple of issues with the build quality. As you can see in my pics there is a gap at the top of the doors. I am assuming, because the manufacturer didn't put vents on the side of the machine, that this gap is for steam and heat to release. The problem is that the gap is too wide. When popcorn is popping I usually have a handful of kernels and popped corn that shoot out of that gap. Sounds hard to believe but it happens every time I make popcorn. Also, the right side door is "off-center" and does not close evenly with the other door and the magnet that holds the door shut. I have to "raise" the door a little while popping so that the right side door is even with the left and closes properly. Now, this may have been a defect but I didn't notice the issue until after I had built everything. I ended up buying a pack of small rubber gaskets at Home Depot and I am going to put them on the door "rods" on the left side. This should keep the door in proper alignment.As for how the machine functions: It works great, so far. Cleaning is easy enough. Removing the heating kettle is easy and I wash it with diluted white vinegar and warm water.
