You get what you pay for.
These cabinet lights are a good, solid product. I bought these for a friend and we installed them in her kitchen - the third cabinet lights we tried. The first set was one with 3 small led lights on a short strip of tape linked together with short wires. The leds were bright and light was cast sideways as well as down so the back splash was well lighted. However, the tape mounting strips eventually fell off the cabinet and the on/off control failed. The 2nd set were similar but the wiring was sloppy and of questionable safety so they were not even worth installing. The B&D 9 inch, 6 light set, was much more substantial than either of the first 2 and more expensive. Not quite as bright and light casts downward, not so much on the back splash. There are 3 light color choices and all are dimmable. They were easy to connect to Alexa and worked well with her guidance. There is also a motion sensor on/off control with dimming capability and 2 choices for plugging in connector wires. Each light strip mounts in 3 small clips that have adhesive tape that sticks to the under side of the cabinet. The light strip can slide back and forth in the clips and are connected to each other with wires with small plugs on the end. The only install downside is the kit includes several lengths of these connector wires and it is not possible to order other lengths except for one a108 inches long. Wire clips with adhesive strips hold the connector wires between strips and we found the extra length of the connector could be looped up into cracks between the cabinets. Lastly the light strip clips have a hole in them so it is possible to use a small screw (provided) to fasten the clip to the cabinet. However the adhesive mounting tape was a good quality and has held well, so far. Alexa compatibility adds much to the value of this light kit. It helps to have 2 people for the installation.

5 star product; one glitch
I'm very happy and impressed with these Black and Decker lights. They are a bit pricey at regular price, but they were simple to install and I had no problems connecting them to Alexa. I think two things made connecting them easy: be sure to check the box on the purchase page where it says something like "link these to your account", and be sure to download the Black and Decker app; follow the instructions on the box and in the app. I've bought 3 sets so far, two of the 3-light sets and one 24" bar for another room. It took longer for me to plan out exactly where I wanted them than it did to install them. After installing and connecting the first set, all I had to do was just install and plug in the other sets. Alexa recognized them without me having to do anything. Being able to set routines up is handy. I schedule my kitchen lights to go on "nighttime" mode at bedtime, and my bedroom lights come on at 9:30 pm. The motion detection works well *but only if your hand is an inch away* from the sensor. I think for most people it's much more convenient to simply use Alexa, or make certain the sensor is in a spot that's easily accessible for your hand. These aren't motion lights that will sense you walking by; you literally have to pass your hand 1" from the control box/sensor for the sensor to work. It's a non-issue for me because I have it right where I can get to it on two of my light sets, and the other I strictly control with Alexa because the sensor is in an inconvenient place. The light settings are very adjustable in temperature and brightness. On the brightest setting they give off plenty of light. I suggest you try them in the place you want them before mounting them. They need to be shielded a bit, by your cabinet trim for example, because you'll probably find them too bright to look at directly. For instance, I tried them under my counter, but when sitting on the couch facing that direction, they were bothersome. I mounted all of mine using the 3M stickers that come with the lights, and it holds perfectly. My only other suggestion is to buy more lights than you think you want. Once you get them you'll be looking for more places you can add these. I can't think of a negative for these, other than the light I recently added (24" single bar) will turn on randomly - but it's Alexa doing this. It operates fine otherwise, with the app or voice commands, but for whatever reason Alexa is turning it on at 4:45 p.m. on her own. They work as advertised (excluding my single Alexa glitch with the one light) and are a great addition to my kitchen and bedroom.

Solid buy!
Easy to set up with all the necessary clips and high quality stickers. Good amount of light and very responsive with Alexa. Itโs nice to be able to choose the warmth but I wish there were more than 3 options

worth the price
Amazon lists many different products for use as under-cabinet kitchen lighting, and many of them are priced far below what these Black&Decker-branded ones cost... but these were definitely worth the money. I needed devices that were shorter than 10" for some of my cabinets, and these fit the bill. I bought two kits: one with 6 light bars, and one with 5 light bars. Each kit came with power supply, controller, and a variety of interchangeable interconnect cables of varying lengths. The lights, controllers, and cables employ clever metal clips with a 3M-branded sticky pad that is very strong, and there were plenty of extra clips. The lights themselves are bright, with four different selectable color temperatures. The controller has an IR sensor so the lights can be turned on/off by just waving your hand beneath it. The intensity is adjustable, as well. The system is wifi compatible, and interfaced quickly to my iPhone. Using their app, you can turn the lights on/off, change the color temperature, and adjust the intensity. My only problem is that while one of the controllers quickly connected to my iPhone, the other did not. Perhaps there is a way to do that, but it's not something I plan to use... I just wave my hand to turn them on or off, and I leave the color temperature and intensity where it is. In short, the system is high quality, easy to install, and comes with enough clips and an assortment of interconnect cables in different lengths to accommodate nearly every installation.

motion sensing not great, but extremely easy to set up and link for voice control
Product (24" kit) was obviously a return or used; instructions/guide not provided in 1st kit (I bought another) and package was taped over in 2 locations with minor crumpling of box. So easy to setup and install that you don't need the instructions. As soon as I plugged it in, Alexa reported that it had been 'discovered' and linked. Motion sensing for on/off works, but requires very close pass over the sensor. Fortunately, neither the switch control nor motion sensor is likely to be used; the 'smart home' setup is what I desired, allowing voice control. The difficulty with these 'close pass' sensors is that many people in the household won't know where the switch and sensor is positioned, since the installation is intended to be hidden from casual view. The CRI is not great BUT IT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ILLUMINATING THE COUNTER WORK AREAS. The shortest cable to connect the sensor/switch to the lightbar requires about 3.5 inches, plus the width of the sensor module, so installation requires a minimum of 5 inches to the right or left (depending on the orientation of your power line) without stressing the connector cable (see photo). This may be a minor irritation if you are trying to center the installation with respect to the edges of your cabinet. The longest cable adds 29.5 inches, so if you are adding another lightbar (daisy-chain) you have some decent reach. The pictured configuration used a 24" bar with a single 9" bar to the left of the stove, and 2 24" bars to the right. Wish I found these earlier; I tried a variety of PIR sensing lights (hardwired and wireless rechargeable, but the convenience and low maintenance of this smart 'plug in' configuration wins the battle! Used 4 kits (3 of the 24", 1 of the 9" kits) to finish the counter on 1 side of the kitchen, but only needed 2 of the control units. Fairly expensive to complete the project, but I don't regret it. Note: the guidance on the included 'spacer' guide (a carboard rectangle) is worth paying some attention to: leave enough space between the mounting clips and the bar ends to allow some lateral adjustment. When configured through Alexa as a single group, setting color temperature is unreliable; can switch between daylight and warm white, but cool white doesn't seem to work as a group.

What a great product. Easy to install and set up.
I was looking for lights for my new cabinets that could be controlled by Alexa and were easy to install and could get bright. I read a lot of reviews and decided to try these even though they are quite a bit more expensive then others on the market. I am so glad I did. I ended up using three 6 packs of lights. I used one 6 pack for under my cabinets. One six pack for the top and wine rack. And 4 of 6 lights for over our refrigerator. The cables that came with the lights were fine for under cabinet and over the fridge, but I had to buy longer cables for over the cabinets since I was skipping every other one (see the photos I posted. Sorry for the mess). Luckily they sell 108 inch cables individually for about twelve dollars each. 1 of the 6 cables I ordered came in a very retail looking hard plastic box that only came with a female to female connector. But the other 5 came in bags and had a bunch of different connectors and mounts included. Hopefully for future buyers that is what they are going to sell from now on. I set up each light before I mounted them in my Alexa app. I named them where they were located (see photos) and then put them in a group. Now all we have to do to turn them all on, off or dim them is say "Alexa, turn on the lights." Or "Alexa, turn the lights to 30%". Really, really slick and very easy to set up. This ended up being perfect for what I needed and I'm happy I spent the extra money to get these lights. **4 Month Update** So after about 4 months of usage I would say I am still just as happy with these as the first few days of usage. I have had 2 quirks during that time. One strand of lights just stays on and won't obey Alexa or app commands. The control box still works though. Unplugging and plugging the power fixed the issue. Both of these quirks happened after power outages. What I am thinking is one strand powered on before our home wifi was back online and and never reconnected. I have one Alexa device that does this same thing after power outages. So, it might be the fault for my Orbi wifi mesh that takes forever to come back online after power comes back on. Otherwise, still really happy with this purchase. **4 YEAR update!!!** After 4 years these are still going strong. They always turn on and off with a simple Alexa command. None have gone bad in 4 years! Absolutely a great product!

Awesome Product - Easy Install
These are a cinch to install the they practically integrate themselves with Alexa. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. I bought the 6 light kit and had it installed within an hour...and the dimmer/color control is awesome. My appliances all have LED white lights so I was able to set the temp/color of these lights to match. The only negative comment I have is that the wire clips don't work very well...so I used clear, self-adhesive wire clips that are also available on Amazon. They're like $10 for 100.

Alexa connection is a joke
Connection to Alexa does not work. Alexa recognizes the device but hangs indefinitely when asked to connect. I've tried contacting customer support several times and I keep getting redirected from Amazon to Black & Decker(previously on the label) to PureOptics and back. Customer service is abysmal for all three. They sent a replacement controller which also has the same problem. Waste of money since this performs like a much cheaper product. Waste of time trying to get this to work. Amazon customer service is particularly terrible and I wasted hours trying to get help only to be "escalated" and subsequently ignored.
