The easel chalkboard from "Rustic Merchant" brings a charming vintage feel to your occasion or premises. Unlike many other chalkboards this one is compatible with both chalk and chalkboard markers due to its' non-porous writing surface. For extra stability and visual effect plants or other items can be placed on the lower shelf of the chalkboard. The lower shelf fits securely in place with two dowels and corresponding slots, this is what gives the chalkboard is rigidity. The chalkboard folds flat by lifting the hinged lower shelf upward, separating the dowels from the slots. Please check the photos for detailed measurements of the chalkboard. It weighs approximately 8.8 pounds (4.0kg). For every chalkboard sold Rustic Merchant donate a tree to The Nature Conservancy's Plant A Billion Trees campaign. This campaign aims to plant one billion trees by 2025. Currently they are planting in the United States, Brazil and China.
