Slight smell in the container when arrived. Immediately burned two orange ones in my office for 10 minutes, no smell. Aside from the slight smell of melting paraffin, absolutely no odor at all! I put my nose up to where I could feel the heat of the candle, and all around, back and forth, not even a hint, I was very surprised. Blew it out, and after it cooled, smelled the candle, the "slight smell" is still there. Did the same thing with a lavender candle. 100% identical effect. I did not bother to see how long they last.Obviously the "smell" chemical is destroyed by the fire, it does not survive the heat of the candle. DO NOT BUY, the "highly" of "highly scented" does not describe the candle or the scent.
