Recommended for Mac products!
I have been searching for at least a year and a half for a microphone that works. I wanted one for a speaker I had for my summer job. Sadly, that lasted a few weeks. Once we all had to stay in quarantine, I was asked to teach my fitness classes virtually. I searched again and the microphone I purchased only had a splitter. With Macs there is no special microphone slot. When I used it, it thought I constantly had headphones in. I did my research and found this amazing product! I was praying this USB splitter would work and make it so I could use the microphone AND hear my computer speaker as well. It works GREAT so far! I was able to teach my class outside and my clients could hear me clearly. It is so nice not to yell! I recommend for people using Zoom it making videos.

UPDATE: Definitely a good adapter for the price
I received the audio adapter in pristine condition and in fact was working great. The sound was really clear but after a couple days of using it, it did not last. After I plugged it in, it created a static sound and it was just impossible to use at that point. Not what i expected. UPDATE: I received the product and after a couple days, the adapter continues to work and sounds very clear. I'm very pleased with the customer service as well (they replaced my original).

So far so good. It works well so far. We'll see how long it lasts.

Great..now
Maybe it's just this one but the digital output seems 'choppy' and I am unable to use it. Very nicely made though! **edit** I don't know what the problem was but it seems to work fine now. This after I bought another product..of course. But this is nice metal case, gold plated connector for USB. Having the electronics on a short cable like this takes a lot of strain off your USB port as opposed to the 'cableless' versions. So why did it not work before. Well, lots of variables but I changed ports, connectors, cables, etc. and I can't seem to make it break! So I think you can ignore the previous (original) post. What I must say though is that because of my original low rating, CableCreation contacted me right away and wanted to get to the bottom of the problem. You just don't find this very often for a <$10 product. But I sure won't hesitate to order from them again. Thanks!

Promises Delivered
I was skeptical but this worked exactly like it promises and I was thankful for it. Easy peasy to use. I literally plugged it in and connected the in and out ports and the computer handled the rest.

Not high quality audio
The build quality is nice and works like it should but don’t expect 24 bit audio out of this thing, you’ll only get the max of CD quality audio.

FINALLY! A way to use my mixer for recording again!
I've ordered a half dozen other "adapters" just like this one, and they've all been... well, terrible. The TRS / TRRS audio separator version that plugs into the 3.5mm dual purpose jack on my Macbook DEFINITELY doesn't work. Other USB versions somehow create static and are only occasionally recognized as an audio input. NOT THIS ONE. Microphone plugs into adapter, speakers plug into regular headphone jack on the Macbook and BOOM – perfect audio setup. I've already recorded a full podcast episode with the same quality I used to have on my old rig (with separate microphone input jack). Highly recommend this for anyone struggling with the stupidity of a single audio jack for line-in inputs.

Used to pass through Audio from a vmWare ESXi6.5 host to a Windows 7 Virtual Machine! Yes, it accepts Line Input
Works as Advertised. What I did was quite complex, and didn't know if it was going to work - but it did! I needed a line input for a radio into a Dell Proliant GL380 Gen 6 server...and I needed it passed through to a Windows 7 virtual machine. At first it didn't work......but since the guest machine was not a physical machine, I had to passthrough hardware - by telling the ESXi vmware host to pass through the USB controllers (add them as a PCI Device in the virtual machine) It worked, no drivers required (as it stated) - it's cheap, it ships fast, and I'm happy!
