This product is being used for a pressure sore near the tailbone that appeared on my son during a hospitalization that lasted 1 month. They provide padding and coverage for my mom’s pressure sores, but are outrageously costly at about $6 for each patch. If using a cream, or even just using the toilet, the patch either comes off on its own or needs to be removed. They can’t be reapplied, so that amounts to more money than seems appropriate. Insurance does not pay for them either. They might be tax deductible under OTC medical expenses. Unfortunately, we have not found a better patch for Mom’s needs.
