I started taking this after reading a news article about an extract of Astragalus membranaceus called "TA-65" that showed promise in reversing cardiovascular aging as well as improving immune system function. That stuff is excessively expensive due to being a patented compound produced by a single company. What a world we live in, that companies are allowed to patent potentially life-saving compounds that could benefit everyone, and then charge astronomical prices for it, but I digress. Anyway, since it came from Astragalus membranaceus, I hoped some of that compound could be found in this much, much more affordable supplement. Like most supplements, I didn't notice any difference after taking this for several months. None whatsoever. However, my wife occasionally gets sick and it starts with a "coming down with something" feeling. This time, she had that feeling for a day, but was fine the next day. She claims she's never had that feeling not turn into full blown multi-day sickness, until now. Anecdotal evidence at best, of course, but she thinks this supplement helped. Who am I to argue? Astragalus is well-known to have health benefits, so it's probably worthwhile.

Great for immunity

I started taking Astragalus about 20 years ago. I take it mostly for the cold and flu season. Still took it in 2020/2021 even though masks pretty much stopped a regular flu season. Over the years if I got a cold or the flu it was nowhere near as bad as I did before or as bad as others got it. I work with and around a lot of people weekly from all over the world. I have watched my co-workers get sick with the flu and I was fine. When I started it I was instructed to start it right before cold/flu season and take it until around June. I was told that it works better when you stop taking it for those months in between. I have been doing that all these years and I swear by this stuff. I found out about it late one night on a show I was watching. They were saying that the FDA would have loved to approve it but, of course, can't because it is an herbal supplement. Check with your doctor before taking it to make sure it doesn't interact with any medications you may take. I know people taking high blood pressure medication are not advised to take it.
