Can the new led light bulbs work on a dimmer switch?

No. Only bulbs marked as dimmer compatible can be used on dimmer switches.

Is this a good bulb for a reading lamp?

These 60 watt light bulbs in my opinion are a great bulb for reading. This is the bright white bulb. These are not light a regular light bulb, which is a yellowish tint. They make the pages on a book bright.

Are they warrantied for enclosed lighting (Ceiling flush mounted enclosure)?

Honestly they should be fine. Most of the time if a bulb says "not for enclosed fixtures" they basically are saying that they haven't designed the heat-sink to dissipate heat well enough for that. Will it burn down your house? Nah. Will it potentially cause the bulb to fail early? Yeah. But for $1 a bulb vs $3-4 for an 'enclosure rated' bulb, if they last me a year I'm happy.

Are these smooth on the Bulb end or do they have writing on them? Want them to be have no logo on the bulb as I have an open vanity light

They have words on the bulb, you can use alcohol to wipe them clear.
