The Black Series AT-AT Pilot , 6 Inch

Here we have the AT-AT Driver or Pilot from the Black Series line by Hasbro. Specifically this is how an AT-AT driver would be dressed if he were on a cold planet like Hoth, due to the AT-AT's lack of climate control. Typically there are 2 pilots to maneuver the AT-AT and they're usually accompanied by a commander. So if you have the money you really should grab two of these, I'll definitely need to grab a second one. Now that we've basically gotten all of the Original Trilogy troopers we need to start getting some Imperial Officers, even characters like Admiral Ozzel and Admiral Piett, or heck a Governor Grand Moff Tarkin would be super awesome. This AT-AT driver comes with a standard Imperial issued E11 blaster rifle and that's it, I'm not sure what else he would come with. We never even see one with a blaster if I recall so I guess we're lucky to even get that. The sculpting, detailing, paint applications and articulation make this a really solid action figure and a great buy for $15. It's a bummer Hasbro hasn't released a commander or made a General Veers action figure to go with this pilot, since it's highly doubtful we'll ever get an AT-AT in this scale. And even if we did it'd be way too expensive for me. For now, I just like having yet another different trooper to add to my army and round out my Imperial garrison on display. This figure has all the standard articulation we've been getting from this line, and though this figure maybe lacking in accessories it has a fantastic amount of detail and paint highlights to make up for it and at about $15 it's well worth it. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

I was first not on the bandwagon with Black Series figures. I thought they were overrated, but once I received mine, I knew why people loved them! The amount of hand-painted detail is amazing, and the likeness of the figure is great. Of course, there are a few tiny details that don't show, but it is hand-painted, and that really makes me appreciate it more. The ATAT pilot is a great figure with great articulation that is realistic. It comes with swiveling wrists, neck, and arms. Weathering makes the figure look a lot more realistic, but that is up to the collector. I love it!

From my previous Black Series purchases, I had an educated guess as to how this particular figure would be. As usual, I was not disappointed. A well detailed, (and not disfigured faced) fun figure to display with the rest of my collection. The added gun will be a nice backup gun to keep in case of a puppy-disaster.

Fantastic figure to put on my Empire Shelf. Fits in well with my other black series figures. Very reasonably priced. For sub $20s. Also got the tie fighter pilot from the vintage line at the same time.
