Belt, Oreck Upright Flat (Pack of 3)

Was given an Oreck XL Intellishield vacuum with a bunch of extra hepa-bags. Due to having 2 dogs & a cat, I was really wanting a decent bagged vacuum. After a thorough cleaning and disinfecting, I gave it a whirl....and it picked up NOTHING. Off to Google I went, troubleshooting the reason for zero pickup. I quickly found out that it was a belt issue. DONT BE ALARMED.... it's a super easy fix!! I ordered these OEM belts in the 3-pack, watched a YouTube video and successfully put on the new belt. Vacuum now works like a charm! Perfect fit and super easy to put on! Belt price is about $2 each, so it was also a very affordable fix. And I have 2 spares for the next time I need to replace the belt. While not a vacuum expert, I find the fit, quality & ease of installation to be excellent.

Fit my Oreck XL vacuum that was gifted to me. This belt seem to fit all of the Oreck XL upright vacuums. Replacing the belt on my my model was easy. It does require the removal of several screws but they were all easy to get to just a matter of keeping track of each screws location since some of them differ in size and color.

Need for the operation of your vacuum cleaner

I'm a chick who enjoys buying used vacuums and refurbishing them. Lately, my local thrift stores have had Oreck XL uprights that need belts. When I can get them cheap, I buy and "flip them". The latest one I purchased was an Oreck XL "40th Anniversary Edition". At first when the belts arrived, I was afraid that it would not fit because of how tight the belt was out of the packaging. After a little work, I got it on and the vacuum works like a champ now and is my daily user (it escaped being sold). I have 1 other XL that needs a new belt and a motor adjustment and I plan to fix it up too. The price was right too, as my local Oreck store wanted over $10 *+ tax* for a set of belts.

There is nothing special about this product - except that it fits and works! It is hard to get excited about a piece of rubber and fabric that turns a brush on a vacuum. However, running the vacuum without the belt is an exercise in futility. I wondered why my efforts to clean the carpets was just not getting the job done. Then I checked - the brush was not turning. Like a light bulb coming on, I finally realized what was going on. I could have gone to an area vacuum repair shop, and paid a lot more for this belt. But that entailed a drive of several miles with the extra expense of the car. This way a few clicks on the computer with a Prime membership, meant in a couple of days, it was on my doorstep. Vacuum works like new
