The Doobie Brothers Best Of

Just got done listening to the CD before writing the review. LOVE the Doobie Brothers. All the Songs and Music are ALL familiar and would be played on the radio. The Song - Black Water - has a Very Good Memory for me: While I was in High School and if the weather was bad and we were not able to go outside - we had a jukebox in the gymnasium and we would play Black Water and sing as LOUD as we could (because of singing loudly, we echoed in the gym) - We Had FUN.!! This CD is Worth the Purchase.

Good cd for the price back up my vinyl

Being a traveler to Branson, Missouri many times a year, a song the city uses to attract tourists is "Listen to the Music," performed there by Bucky Heard. However, I wanted to find the original artist and song, so that's how I came upon the Doobie Brothers. I originally bought this CD because of that one song, and because my two-year old foster girl loved it so much, but soon discovered just how great the group really is and I enjoyed every cut on the CD, and highly recommend it to anyone. There's no better way than this CD to "Listen to the Music"!!!!

Import version of Rhino's 2001 The Doobie Brothers' Greatest Hits, repackaged in a somewhat slicker cover. Contains the same line-up of songs, 20 in all, in pretty much chronological order according to singles release dates. All the hits that fit, yeah! Singles versions of Listen to the Music, Jesus Is Just Alright, Nobody, It Keeps You Runnin', and Dependin' on You; just the way you remember them from the AM airplay on your car radio back in the day. Takes you from the Tommy Johnston era through the Michael McDonald period, and on to the Johnston comeback years, with Patrick Simmons rockin' along at every turn. Highly recommended to fans of the Doobies and '70s rock in general.

I was particularly pleased that I could get a digital download immediately after purchase. I had never heard the Doobies in digital format, having only an ancient cassette (40+ years old), something that can't compare with today's technology. The digital download doesn't quite compare to the resolution of the CD, but it is better than nothing and I could listen immediately to the album and it works well on portable devices without taking up a lot of memory. Providing the digital download AND the CD is genius.

For anyone who grew up in the 1970s or who likes classic rock music, this Doobie Brothers Greatest Hits CD is awesome. The music is fantastic & the sound quality is excellent.

Ce best of mérite bien son nom : les,"incontournables "des Doobie Bros. sont réunies et leur écoute est toujours un immense plaisir : avec eux, c'est toute la Californie qui rayonne avec plein de souvenirs... Indémodables !
