winemaker is happy with them
I bought these for a wine making family member. They really appreciate the measurement markings on the side and that they are a tiny bit translucent so he can see whats going on in there. He also appreciates the fact they can be stacked and that you have the option of putting the airlock on a hole on either the top or the top of the side of the bucket. The handle seem sturdy enough. He would buy again without hesitation

Very good design, but lid does not have a rubber seal
not five stars because: - not perfectly airtight seal, which is not advertised on this amazon page. The lid is made of the same plastic as the body. From the manufacturers website: “These containers can be tightened further by smearing the container rim with petroleum jelly or edible oil”. What I found excellent: - lid design is very thoughtful. Easy to open, but the seal is the best it will get with the plastic material. - the rest of the design is also excellent (though straightforward) - in the 2x bucket option, each bucket comes with a side airlock, a top airlock, two pluggable grommets, and a pre-drilled hole in the lid for the top airlock. Overall, very good. I would not recommend it for lactofermentation (get a bucket with a rubber O-ring on the lid for a guaranteed airtight seal), but it’s good for everything else.
