Sword is put together very well. Tsuba is solid. The leather wrap on the tsuka is tight and does not budge when pushed on. Mekugi pegs are placed on the proper side. Sword is straight. Sageo is thick and appears to be made of high quality material. Saya is perfectly snug when sheathed. The fittings are of mid grade quality but very well assembled. It does have a hamon but I haven’t done any cutting test to see if the blade retains an edge or not. It came sharp but not razor sharp.

Some of the best quality production swords under $200 available, hamons are active and prominent, leather wrap is done well, saya is good, even the fittings are decent. I have purchased 3 swords from this seller so far. Some of these look better than $500+ offerings from other sellers. I have owned more than 20 chinese-made modern production katanas in my life including Cheness, Musashi, and Hanwei - and Murasame swords are better in almost every way. The one with a Suguha hamon is downright incredible, it looks like a Citadel or modern Nihonto, and somehow is beefy as heck but doesn't feel overly heavy. The only downside to them being this pretty is I don't want to damage them by cutting anything with them! Minor gripes - no geometric yokote and bo-hi termination is typical for a production katana, also on the unokubi zukuri the hamon gets a bit shallow in places. For the price though, from what I've seen these are some of the best production swords available on the internet, and Amazon makes ordering secure and convenient. Thanks Murasame!

The wakizashi I purchased is exactly as pictured, and after an evening of inspectimg it for any imperfections or flaws, I can't honestly say I found any. The whole weapon is made flawlessly, and quality is emanating from every single part. This is an insanely good sword, let alone for the decent price. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Surprisingly good. Was skeptical coming from Amazon. Great product with great packaging. I’ve seen more expensive swords with fitment not even close to as tight as this sword.

upon inspection I’ve notice that the boshi is not sharp at all but rather very dull (very disappointing) The Ha is razor sharp though. I might return this for refund since the wakizashi that I got from Japan the boshi is razor sharp. I’ve noticed the Ha have a small chip on the blade (ha) Update: After receiving a replacement from Amazon, the ha is razor sharp and I love the real hamon. The hamon is not fake like other katana. My only issue is after several practice swing the ito moves. Ito is not tightly wrapped. If you are going to use this for practice slicing, I recommend rewrapping the ito tightly.
