I am a size 6 shoe purchased s/m and had no problem getting them on. However, I only wore on good leg with no swelling as other leg in a splint.

What class of compression are these?

Since it's not written anywhere I would say after wearing them for a couple of times, light compression (class 1), depending also onthe size of your calf. For me it goes to medium-class 2 because of my bigger calfs. Maybe the manufacturer can answer this more specifically.

How tight is the cuff around the foot

With it being open toed it's quite comfortable. You'll have to adjust it on the ball of your foot as you can feel the cuff under you're feet. Once you've mastered that it's really OK. I alternate between these socks and the ankle ones as I'm on my feet at work all day and can get a bit much as you are always aware you have them on. But rather that than swollen legs I think.

Done the measurements but how long are they to my knee

They come just under the knee. I had a s/m and it's 13inches from ankle to just under the knee.
