My cats are incredibly picky about their toys, I've bought ones with motors and lights, or springs or wall mounts, and several different kinds like this in different animal likenesses and they refused to play with them but they've gone through a dozen of these in 3ish years. That isn't to say they are cheaply made either, they just abuse the toys that much. They'll rip the feathers off first and eventually even tear the chirp box out. They love playing with them and show off by walking around the house screaming while carrying them in their mouths. The birds are small, light, and soft so when they throw them around it doesn't damage anything and they aren't loud at all which is better than the annoyingly loud ones that can be heard throughout the house. Plus they're cheap for the amount of time they are getting out of them. They rarely get lost too since my cats enjoy leaving them in my bed, chair and shoes.

Figured I would wait a few months to do a review on this bird. Yes, the cat loved it since day 1, but would it last? The answer is yes. Three months later the bird is still in great shape, still chirping, and fur hasn’t begun to degrade or fall off. This bird is perfect choice to buy for your cat. Yes, the price does seem a little steep for a toy that was probably assembled for 20 cents, but if it’s a long lasting toy “that gets played with on the daily”, then the price seems to fade to the background. The sound effects isn’t as annoying as most electronic toys either. The only issue I have found with this bird is the feathers that are attached to the head and tail will shed off. The one I bought still has a couple feathers left, but I have found a few plucked red feathers around that have fallen off. I am not sure why this red bird has a cheaper price point than the other colors available. However, the red seems to be good enough for my cat. I highly doubt it’s upset that I didn’t purchase the more expensive bird with green colors. Haha. Plus, when my cat watches real birds out the window, it tends to get even more excited when it spots cardinals in the yard. So the question is “would I buy another one?” ....Definitely! …….((UPDATE))——-> almost 2 years later now. And yes this bird is still chirping away. Can’t believe the battery is still working on it, but it is still going strong. Cats still dig it and still play with it all the time. Just figured I would come back and leave an update on this thing. I guess that explains the price. Now I know it was worth it. …..Another ((UPDATE))—->another year later! Aug.2024= I hadn’t thought about, remembered, or even seen this toy in many months. While sitting and watching tv lastnight I kept hearing some weird “chirp” noise. Not puzzled enough to care about what it was I just ignored it. Almost an hour gos by and I begin to hear the chirping again. Ok, what the h3II is it? As I’m about to get up to look around, I see my cat dart by with this bird toy in its mouth. Now listen, this thing looks beat up now. No feathers left, gnarly looking red fur more reminiscent of “Mange”, and the chirp sounds more like a …*zzhurp’, way less energetic than it use to be. But…. It’s still alive, and my cats are still hunting it down. So I just figured another edit to this review wouldn’t hurt to let everyone know it’s still cardinal season in my house.

Our cat loves this darn fake bird so much we had to buy two because the first got lost for a bit. Sound is realistic and our cat would know (!). We have to “put it to bed” at night or we wouldn’t get any sleep. No pics because he is a freak when we get it out.

My cat loves this toy. She pounces on it and wildly tosses it up in the air which is hilarious. She just goes off. I have to say it surprisingly holds up pretty well to all the gnawing and clawing. If anything, it’s the chirping sound that eventually peters out, so for that I have to deduct a star. But, overall, I’d say the cost is worth the unhinged fun it brings. A bit of warning- if you dare leave it out, at some ungodly hour you may be awakened by a chirpy ruckus in the dark. Go ahead and find out.

One of my kitties favorite toys. It gets thrown around, bunny kicked and abused and has held up for it all. Cats will play with it for an extended period of time and lets them hunt and burn off some energy.

Bought this as a gift for an older cat that I look after once in a while. She's never played with anything other than a ribbon on a string for several years and gets bored quickly . I set this on the floor and as soon as she left her carrier she went straight for it ! The catnip inside was probably what got her to head over to it but she started batting it around right away and even goes a little crazy when she plays with it now. It takes her a while to stop playing with it so she's not finding it boring . The 'squeaking sound is not annoying and not too loud . Nothing has come off this little bird yet and she's been pulverizing it for a few days now . I would recommend this cat toy to any one for it's quality , price and the fact that it has got a lazy older cat to play again !

うちのお猫様のストレス解消用に購入しました。 リビングの天井にＳ環を付けて100均で買った細いゴムで商品の背中に小さい穴を開けてぶら下げています。 天井からゴムで繋いでるので猫が引っ張って離すと跳ね上がるので自動猫じゃらし機です。けたたましい鳴き声が するので猫様の興奮ＭＡＸです！ 真夜中にじゃれつき、けたたましい鳴き声を響かせるのは少し困りものです(>_<)

Este juguete es hermoso! Está súper bien hecho! Mis gatos no paran de jugar con él. Los materiales son de muy buena calidad. Tiene un audio que simula un ave con el movimiento, a mis gatos les encanta. Los mantiene entretenidos un buen rato

I purchased my first one a couple if years ago and one of my cats loves it and plays with it daily, it has survived being taken out in the garden and left in the rain during this time. Recently I thought the battery was dying inside it, to be expected after 2 years so was delighted to find they we're still available. I've had to hide the new one as he found it and ran off with it still on the cardboard! The old one still lives on currently!
