Gentle and works great!
I have acne prone skin and have tried a lot of products to make sure I get ALL my makeup off at the end of the day. Even though I don't wear much to begin with, anything left over can cause a breakout. I had some success with Billie makeup wipes, but the price and waste generated by using a wipe was bothering me. A package of wipes will last about a month and sometimes it seems like I'm scrubbing for a long time and too much on my sensitive skin. And after all that, my skin doesn't really feel clean. I took a chance on this cleansing balm back in 2022 after reading a lot of the reviews and I'm so glad that I did! It has a light smell (I am very sensitive to perfumes and this doesn't bother me at all--your results may vary), melts my makeup off right away, and my skin is left feeling clean without being over-washed and dried out (I am also following up with a moisturizer). A single tub lasts me 4-5 months, and you're getting a lot more product than other brands. Additionally, it does not irritate my skin or lead to breakouts at all. Certain kinds of "tough" makeup like waterproof eyeliner will take a little more effort to remove, but not much. For eyeliner, I massage the balm into my entire face and let it sit on my closed eyes for a little longer, then gently run my fingertips along my lash line to lift the liner. Follow that up with a washcloth or bamboo round, and it comes right off.

Gentle + rinses clean + bargain
I have been using this product for 2+ years now. Price and size are unmatched, like truly I haven’t found anything more affordable than this. Tub lasts months with almost nightly use. I have very sensitized skin, cleansing oils can even be too harsh for me - this balm is so smooth and gentle removes heavy foundation and sunscreen. Emulsifies well and rinses off clean!!!! Staple product.

My Favorite
I’ve used a few different cleansing balms and this one is my favorite. The other brand that I just finished was so thick I would have to add some cleansing oil to it. That’s not necessary with this one. It does a great job of cleaning and removing makeup while leaving my skin feeling great afterwards. I don’t like cleansers that you have to rinse off with water because it just makes a big mess around my sink. This cleansing balm can be taken off with just a damp cloth and it’s a lot less messy.

This is a great balm
It's very fragranced...very. But, the texture is SO creamy and soft. I live for cleansing balms so I know alot about them. This, for 13$ is ALOT of balm. Give it a try. I have very very sensitive skin and so far it doesn't burn, cause any redness or irritation, despite the heavy fragrance. It smells kind of like candy. It takes makeup and SPF off like a dream and it turns very milky and emulsifies fantastic. It doesn't leave my skin dry at all ..which so many cleansing balms and oils do. I recommend!!! Only reason I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 is cuz the fragrance. Some people can't handle fragrance and this smells like candy, which I don't mind.

One of the best cleansing balm!
I'm lazy and don't want to spend a lot of time to remove my make up at night - this soft balm will take everything OFF and it won't clog pores. Easy to wash off and doesn't irritate skin. Highly recommend!

Effective and gentle
I have been using cleansing balm for last 10 years and have tried majority of the brands out there. This is my favorite! It’s fluffy and effective, melts away water-proof mascara easily and doesn’t leave any residue below the eyes. Love how my skin feels after the rinse too.

effective cleanser but I think it broke me out
I had been using an expensive pre-cleansing oil, but it was difficult to pump out the right amount (2 pumps were too much, 1 pump not enough), so I thought this jar of cleansing balm would allow me to scoop out the amount I needed. I used it for a month and it was an effective cleanser, but I was breaking out. I had also changed other items in my beauty routine, so I wasn’t sure what was causing my breakouts. I went on vacation and left this balm at home — my skin started clearing up while I was on vacation and it’s been steadily improving since I last used this balm. Which is a bit disappointing because I enjoyed the texture, smell, and how easy and effective this was to use. But I won’t be using it again because my skin is just soooo much better since I stopped using it.

Best value balm cleanser
I think people put too much emphasis on balm cleansers. They’re a remover, not a stand alone cleanser, and meant as step 1 before washing when a cleanser. You don’t need fancy ingredients that are nourishing, you just need it to bind with dirt, makeup, oil, and be able to be emulsified with water so that it can wash away. This is the best value for that type of product (price per ounce) but also has a flip top that makes it a breeze to use quickly without wet handedly fumbling with a lid. It smells of lavender which dissipates as soon as it’s washed away and isn’t in contact with skin long enough for irritation. Remember to run it in (it’ll turn gray from your makeup) and then wet your hands and rub again to introduce water and cause emulsification so it’ll all come off when rinsing. I follow this up alternating two cleansers every other day: CeraVe SA for gentle chemical exfoliation (you shouldn’t be using scrubs!) and Hado Labo Hydrating Cleanser. Both are cheap and last for months and have a pH that is near the level of water, so they won’t shock your skin.
