There is truly no fair comparison to make. In most cases, I can even start sanding with a 120 grit instead of 80 grit and get better results in less time. I highly recommend that you use a vacuum attachment to remove all the dust possible while working, and these discs will stay much cleaner and cooler than the competition, allowing you to complete more of the project with far less consumption or waste. I usually buy them in a pack of 50, resulting in a cost of 69 cents per disc, which is a true bargain because I can easily use them 3, 4 or 5 times longer than any other disc. These are a pleasure to work with, and they actually make sanding more enjoyable than ever before. Try purchasing a small sample pack of various grits and you'll see what I mean. Then you'll be back to stock-up with larger quantities of each individual grit. It is best used with the 3M sander but will work with other brands too. The abrasive is efficient and durable.
