Fire-Maple Nonstick Camping Frying Pan Durable Lightweight Camp Cookware

Great little frying pan. I initially used mess boxes for cooking but they were such a hassle to clean, so this non-stick frying pan is proving a joy. No matter what you cook, it's just a case of wiping it down with a cloth or some paper while you are out and then a normal wash once you get home. No scraping off residue food or burnt spots which won't come off. It really is a pleasure to use. It is very sturdy, with a fold down handle which locks into place, and then releases by depressing a button near the base. The plastic casing means you can hold the handle without the pan burning you - always a plus! Size wise it is perfect for one person or maybe two at a push, but this isn't going to cook your family or group dinner all in one go. I would recommend using it with a camping stove rather than a bushbox/fire, only because I used it on a bushbox and this has discoloured the base of the frying pan permanantly. A minor issue with no functional deficit, but using a gas stove will keep it looking brand new. The frying pans comes with a handy little carrying net to protect it a bit from scratches and scrapes. Definitely well worth buying this quality bit of kit.

Got this to use on a gas stove while wild camping. Nice and compact with the handle folding down, but the handle locks out in use so it is safe and not at risk of collapsing when full of hot food. Comes with a mesh protective bag which is nice. The pan is lightweight and relatively easy to fit into a backpack. Obviously quite a small pan, solidly 1 portion, maybe 2 at a push. I had hoped the pan might be compatible with induction rings so I could use it in the van when I got back from a hike but sadly not - I guess this would make it more heavyweight if it was.

I really like this pan. The non stick is excellent (although some people seem to think you should be able to cremate your food without any consequences). Fried eggs and tricky proteins like white fish cook perfectly but of course you still have to manage the heat of your camp stove. If you've used appropriate heat, it cleans up very easily (often with just a wipe with a paper towel). It's made of good, quite thick aluminium which conducts heat evenly and reduces the tendency to get a small hot spot in the centre of the pan (although you'll still have to manage the heat if you're using a small stove like a pocket rocket). Not the lightest but still a very reasonable weight and I'd trade a few grams for reliable cooking performance and durability.

Got this to replace a soto pan set, it's a great nonstick pan. It's not the lightest but it's very sturdy. The nonstick coating is Hard-wearing and the foldaway handle is very robust and I can tell it's going to last. The bottom line is, a slightly heaver, more expensive pan is SO much better in the long run than a lighter less durable one. It's not being blown off, it's not peeling nonstick material, it's handle is clicking into place, iam cooking anything from stew to a fry up or rice, and then iam just wiping it clean and not wasting water on it!

Great quality , not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. I bought it primarily to have a pan that balances on a small stove without the heavy handle unbalancing it. Non stick is just that. Just about big enough for two sausages and two bits of bacon once they’ve shrunk a bit with the heat. Handle folds away .

What a superb little pan, handle locks up perfectly, its light, spreads the heat well for this type of pan and the non stick is great at this price point. No idea of longevity but as it's merely a camping pan I am sure it will last years of trips. In my opinion, a great buy for campsite breakfasts.

I was rather impressed with this camping pan, good value and the handle folds away nicely. Tested bacon, sausages, and eggs without sticking or making a mess (cleans way too). Best one I’ve found

This is a lightweight aluminum, compact, 7.5 in frying pan with folding silicon coated handle that’s great for backcountry hiking, canoeing, etc. It comes in a protective mesh pouch. I usually camp alone so it’s small size has been fine for me, but I don’t think you’d want to be cooking for more than two with this. I don’t think it says anywhere, but it appears to be Teflon coated and I know many are shying away from Teflon these days. Fire maple is becoming quite an innovative name in inexpensive camping gear.

I was looking for a good pan for camping. I tried several brands but nothing convinced me. Then someone recommended the fire maple brand. I received it really fast and in excellent condition. Of course I had to test it right away in my home kitchen first. It performs very well. Heats Up fast and Transfers the heat evenly. It has the perfect height and balance. Stays on the gas burner nicely without sliding off like others I had. Even with high heat it doesn't warp. Handle gets a little warm but it's manageable. Nothing sticks and cleaning is very easy. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. Price is reasonable and I can see using this for years to come. Very well made and excellent product. I highly recommend!!!
