Works great for blades that are easily accessible

Exceeded my expectations. Very effective and easy to use. Well designed and constructed and easy to use. I’ve sharpened everything from scissors to garden shears to loppers to mower blades and a full size axe. Perfect edges!

Did a great job in sharpening my pruning shears, large and small. Did well on quality scissors, ok on cheap dollar store scissors. Knife sharpener did very well. Have not tried on an axe or hatchet. Easy to hold, keeps hand safe and performs very well. Read instructions first, some of the video reviews showed wrong way to use this handy tool. Great for the garage or garden shed.

I've used this to sharpen a lawn mower blade and some sheers. For the lawn mower blade, it did a good job. It took several swipes (OK many swipes) to sharpen the blade. If you have many nicks or burrs, I would suggest a file before using this tool. For the sheers, this is useless. With the placement of the sheers sharpening part of this tool, I am unable to get only 50% of the blade sharpened. The rest of the blade is impossible to reach with this tool. I am not able to get it all the way to the hinge. If you take apart your sheers, then you should be able to get this tool to sharpen them, but I also noticed the angle on the tool for sharpening does not match the factory edge that Fiskars put on it. There are other tools that will sharpen sheers without having to dismantle them (although taking them apart does make it easier). I haven't used this sharpening tool but one season, and I would say that it is worth it overall. I have not noticed significant wear on the tool, so I expect it to last several seasons of sharpening my gardening tools before wearing out.

I bought this for my long handle grass shears and was pleasantly surprised to find there is a sharpener for scissors and knives. It's made to be very easy to use with guides to hold the blade correctly for sharpening. It's lightweight also. It made my shears effective again. I was going to have to buy a new pair of both shears and scissors, and it will be a money saver in the future. Well worth the price.

I bought this mainly as a way to sharpen my lawnmower blade, but after using it, this is probably not the best tool for that. That being said, this tool is very useful for sharpening other things like scissors and bypass pruners, and other things. I’ve used it already to sharpen every pair of scissors in the house, and it does a good job with that. It also sharpen my bypass pruners without a problem. It’s easy to use, and I do like all the different sharpening areas of the tool. Even though it doesn’t do a very good job with my lawnmower blade, because it doesn’t have a “deep” enough reach; I would still purchase this sharpening tool again for the other uses that I found. It’s pretty cool, and it’s lightweight and easy to use.

Great little gadget. Trick is getting the right angle. Once you do, the blade sharpens easily. I did notice a cleaner cut of grass blades on my St. Augustine grass. This product is much easier and faster than using a flat, handheld metal file.

Werkt relatief grof maar goed, ik had m vooral voor tuingereedschap, de grasmaaier snel scherp houden en de tuinscharen. Mijn goede koksmessen zal ik er niet snel doorhalen, maar er zit ook een klein stukje keramiek op, wellicht werkt dit goed maar heb ik nog niet geprobeerd
