Great for kids but would be too small for adults, at least those with normal to large hands. The hook is removable so I have spent a fair amount of time looking for it after my son is done playing, it always ends up in 2 pieces. Overall great buy for the price, has held up very well with 2 kids.

exactly what we needed
My almost-3 year old twins want to be Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for halloween, and this hook is perfect for the costume. It's inexpensive but seems sturdy enough to last the night. If they break or lose it, oh well, it was only a couple bucks. But after halloween it will go into the dress up clothes until it breaks or gets lost. It's no substitute if you really do lose your hand to a crocodile, but it's fine if you just want to pretend.
