Works well, well built, no issues
THis is a 12VDC solenoid-actuated pistol with a 10mm movement. It's a small and solid device, most of the size coming from the solenoid itself, with a metal frame and metal piston. The piston is held with a spring in the outward position, moving quickly to the inward position when power is applied. The strength of the force (25 newtons according to the specifications) is what makes this solenoid device so useful. Overall, it's clear that this is a well-build and simple device which works well and so it's highly recommended.

Makes an easily controlled door lock
We have a steel lined door - an insurance company requirement - into a storeroom. It is secured by two five lever mortice locks, but during the working day they remain unlocked and the door is secured by this solenoid. A 12Volt power brick provides the power and this is switched by a wireless remote control switch. This seems an ideal compromise between security at night and ease of access during the day. Everyone who has a need to go into the store has a keyfob.

Installé cet électro-aimant pour un projet de verrou automatisé, réagit super bien, assez puissant pour ce que j'ai à faire. Les ✅ de l'article : 📗 Il bouge vite et juste assez avec ses 10 mm pour faire le job vite fait. 📗 Avec ses 25N, il est assez balèze pour tenir ou pousser pas mal. 📗 Il marche sur du 12V DC, donc pas de souci pour le brancher avec tes autres appareils. 📗 Il est petit et léger, donc tu le colles où tu veux et c'est parti. Les ⛔ de l'article : 📕 Il pompe 1.6A, alors si ton système est un peu juste en énergie, ça peut poser problème. 📕 Si t'as besoin que ça bouge de plus de 10 mm, celui-là, il fera pas l'affaire. 👉 Conclusion : 🎌 Nickel pour des petits boulots de push-pull, mais garde à l'œil sa conso et sa petite course, surtout si tu as besoin de plus de mouvement ou d'économie d'énergie.

Just so you know, 25 N is about 2,5 kg. I thought that was enough for my application, but unfortunately the slop between the pin and the coil makes for some friction, so it's probably less in real life... I couldn't make the pull straight, so I had a hard time making it work. The mounting holes are tiny, so I drilled them out and mounted the solenoid to a bracket with pop rivets.. Decided to go with a 12vdc electric linear actuator instead. Slower but more powerful in the same package size.
