Good EQ
This is a good eq. Did not try the software, but the on unit controls are easy enough. Realistically in most scenarios once you have your settings saved, you'll probably be switching between your saved presets. Again, works well, looks good.

Did Not Work As Expected - Good Luck!
Packaging: Came in single box, luckily it was undamaged. Instructions: Comes with a User Manual, Quick Start Sheet and Trouble resolution sheet. None of these are of much value. The small display window times out within seconds, when selecting a feature, the contrast is poor - get you your glasses! But Wait There's More: It comes with software that actually runs, but is about as useless as the EQ. The software shows when it's liked to the PC. There are buttons in software to store-retrieve settings, but they don't reflect in the EQ when recalled. Setting and recalling up to 10 different sets for the L and R channels would be wonderful - if it worked. There's a BBECC button in software but nothing is explained as to what it does. I would not believe other positive reviews. This is a wonderful idea for an EQ but the execution leaves too much left undone and the instructions that come with it are essentially useless. What an unfortunate waste of time; I simply sent mine back. Perhaps I got a lemon, I don't know. Seems the only 31-band stereo EQs you can depend on are the completely mechanical ones. Good luck if yours works.

It Rocks!
Very low noise floor (even with the gain and volume a bit elevated), smooth in its knob (tactile feel) and levered operation (has a 0 dB notch), solidity built. I have a 10 ft optical cable running from my PC's. To my ears with a little tinkering involved, the result was golden. I do realize this is a far cry from a top-self audiophile setup but the cost to sound quality ratio was a winner for me (I also used 2 pairs of high-quality TS to RCA adapters).

Worse Than That
Needed a Third-Octave EQ and thought this one looked pretty good. After reading some of the negative reviews, I figured it couldn't be that bad and decided to give it a try. It's Worse! While operation from the computer interface is somewhat usable, making adjustments from the front panel is almost impossible. And the LED spectrum display is a joke. While looking pretty, it offers no representation of the actual music being played. Just a bunch of dancing LED's. As for the instruction manual, it's a shame to think some poor tree offered so much in its making. 6 pages of pure gibberish. I seldom return a product unless it's damaged, but this one's on its way back.

Very nice and functional EQ and audi anylizer.
Seems to work well and adds some Razz A ma Tazz to your system. Easy to use and program. Very bright LED's.

An advanced Toy. NOT an accurate measurement tool
This item is a great idea but is unfortunately, poorly executed as a measurement device. It has some good features and functions decently BUT is Not Accurate for real audio work. The PROs : the meter display; the user ergonomics and simple to use interface; surprisingly sound that goes through it and comes out with no noise in spite of the hum coming from the power transformer. The connections are decent too. THE REAL ISSUES >>> THE CONs : The dB level in is too high for what the meters read especially for the level out. I use an accurate db meter output to read 0db and below going into this unit. And the 0db scale in programming of eq puts 0db flat in the middle green section of frequency band as it should... thats not where it measured ( alot of peaks when i know there shouldn't be). The selector knob is WAY too sensitive (hair trigger) and the power off signal spike in low end is potentially dangerous to other gear or speakers (see video). Conclusion : I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because it could be used for non pro users just trying to learn 31band equalization. Turn your amplified gear post this device off as always just in case. I am returning this item

Need better operational instructions
I am an Engineer ,and I found the instructions confusing and incomplete. I am using this unit in my Home Theater as a low pass filter to tune 2 Subwoofers , I loaded the Software in my Laptop , makes adjusting very easy. over all I am giving high marks in performance.

Works but has two problems
1) The software included on the USB drive is PC only; a .exe file. Hello, Mac OS? That's a pretty big miss. 2) The one knob used to manually control the settings seems to have a mind of its own. Very difficult to set the settings for each frequency because it keeps jumping around on you, so takes a while for each frequency to properly check and adjust the settings. The actual processing seems good so far. It'll take more time to really evaluate it properly.
