Boogie Board Deluxe Magic Sketch - Color LCD Writing Tablet + 4 Different Stylus and 18 Stencils for Drawing, Writing Tracing eWriter Ages 3+

The grandchildren were mesmerized the minute they opened the boxes. My daughter asked for one for each of the kids for car travel, so I purchased 4 of them. Besides being a creative tool, each board includes educational pages (writing practice, math, etc.) that can be inserted for the level of the child to practice with. Because they live 6 hours away from us, these will be excellent brain-minders for car rides. Even the three-year old was entranced with it.

She loves it can draw and then just hit the buttons and start again. It is kind of dim and others have mentioned but it doesn't bother her. Easy to take in the car or inside a restaurant to keep her busy.

Pros: got this when price reduced. Came with fun inserts, stamps, and additional drawing tools. One is a thicker pen for the smaller hands that are not use to holding utensils for writing. The inserts go between the hoodie board and removable blue backing. The roller tool was pretty cool. Just wish it had more attachments for it.Cons: stamps are difficult to use. One is stars, but when used there is no stars in the boggie board. The board itself when writing on it is dim. Not bright. The colors are not like the picture. I think I'd be better as one color. The green is the best visual color. Smaller pen has a hole, possibly for a string attachment, but no where to attach to board. The other utensils are really if no use. My kid didn't touch them. The ABC insert I think was a little small for a beginner child learning to write. There is 5 letters on one sheet. 3-4 larger letters would have been more preferable. It's a box full of goodies but nothing to keep it all together. Maybe include a carrying case or bag.Overall a good buy. Better than wasting paper teaching kids how to write or draw. Kid loves it. We shall see how long it holds up.

This was a stocking stuffer gift for my 8 1/2-year-old granddaughter and she loved it. She experimented each stencil and spent almost 3 hours with it as soon as she opened the gift. She enjoys art, drawing, painting/coloring, etc, so the first thing she did was draw/color all the drawing stencils, which were all beautiful. She also enjoys writing stories, plays, and lyrics for songs and enjoyed the writing blank inset. Her two brothers, ages 12 and 10, also enjoyed playing dot-to-dot and tic-tac=do with her. I would give the Magic Sketch Deluxe Kit a 5 Star Grade and would purchase again for a gift.

My 6 year old son's favorite gift of the holiday (except for the 3DS). It is a very light/thin color version of the old magic sketch. And even as an adult, fun to play with. It is translucent, so allows cards to be used behind for tracing (or tracing over any item that is flat. The accessories are duds, but not an issue and came as extras so I got what I paid for with those.

These are OK. We bought 3 for our kids (age 2,4,6) for Christmas. We received a faulty board the first time. One of the boogie boards didn't "erase" correctly. We were able to return it and get a replacement, but it took some time. The only real tools that work well is the regular stylus that fits onto the board itself. We really like the boogie board concept and the cards that can be slid under for tracing and games. It's been about 3 weeks since Christmas and another of the boards seems to worked itself to a faulty state. It doesn't "erase" as it should. It only seems to dim the writing. The button has to be pushed slowly about 10 times before we can get the board blank again. It also looks as if the screen is starting to separate in one corner. This is basically what was wrong with our first one. It shouldn't be the battery since they boast a "7-year battery". I don't know if these issues are because my kids use them so much, or if they're just not durable enough. (They are fairly thin) I find it frustrating since the advertisements claim that they are durable and kid proof. The longevity of the board seems unreliable which is unrealistic since it's geared for children.

I spent extra money as compared to another seller due to the advertisement of including a roller and stamps- which were not included, even when I returned the purchase stating my concerns of the advertisement- it resent again without the roller or stamp set. It also includes only 3 of each card (front and back) - not 6 (front and back) of each as suggested. I also ordered the less expensive one from a different seller and it was the exact same item. The toy itself is good.

We gave both of our children (ages 6 and 3) Magic Sketches for Christmas and they both love them! I think the Deluxe Kit package is a great deal and love the cards with games, math problems, drawing, etc. Great value and something I think they will use for years to come! Great product!

The ink is not so dark and is hardly readable from few inches apart .. was expecting a sturdier quality .
