This thing is amazing!
OMG, i didn't know something so small could do so much! I play guitar as a hobby and have been putting together a cover band to play metallica and the like. I am so super impressed with all of the features on this thing. It is so compact yet so versatile and functional. The recording quality I have got from our rehearsals so far is awesome! I am no expert on this type of stuff, but I just can't believe how much technology has changed! I remember my tascam minidisk recorder from about 20 years ago was about the same size and this, and all it could do was record 4 tracks! This thing can record 30 at a time! I am using a USB flash drive to record on, so far so good. The feedback wizard and room tuning wizards are awesome. I can't wait to use this for a live show! Edit: I just recorded my band rehearsal on a USB stick that was suggested on the QSC site. Everything worked perfectly. We recorded the drums with a single overhead mic and a kick mic, then went direct from two Line 6 Helix's for the two guitars, preamp out from a bass head for the bass, and direct with lead and backing vocals. We use a pretty decent PA and speaker system. For the first time, we could actually hear ourselves during the rehearsal! (the drummer used in ear monitors from an aux mis out of the mixer, the rest of us did not). I then spent some time editing the EQ, compressor, and gates on each channel. I did a mixdown right on the mixer itself, and the results (after some tweaking) are truly spectacular. I will post a recording soon. This is a real game changer especially for amateur bands like mine.

QSC Digital Mixer is Top Quality!
I perform in a professional 90’s Country Music Show Band. I purchased this and we recorded on all channels and meanwhile the sound was incredibly amazing. I recommend this to anyone who wants a top quality digital sound board with amazing performance results!

Great Sound, Extremely Powerful, Horrible Touch Screen.
This would be 5 enthusiastic stars if the touch screen weren't awful. The sound is great. The processing power is great. The effects are the best sounding I've heard in a portable digital console in this range. The mic pres sound good. The compressor is excellent and gives you the ability to precisely dial in the exact sound you're looking for, with adjustable attack and release. The ability to put the compressor post-EQ allows you to really shape the sound and compress either transparently or for effect. If you know what you're doing, you can use this to get an incredible vocal sound. The touch screen is downright awful. It is virtually impossible to responsively select and drag a fader precisely. You will really need to use a tablet. Worse yet, the on-screen buttons are extremely unresponsive. I can repeatedly, forcefully, and precisely press a button 7 or 8 times before the screen responds. If the rest of the mixer weren't so good for what it is, I'd write a scathing review because the touch screen is so bad. I have a Behringer X32, and a Presonus StudioLive Series III, and a Bose ToneMatch T4S. I think the X32 has a more neutral or natural sound, where as the Touchmix is a tad bright, but I like the dynamics a lot better on the Touchmix, and the effects are at least on par so far, based upon initial assumptions. The Touchmix sounds way better than the Presonus, mic pres, effects, everything. And the Touchmix absolutely destroys the Bose T4S. My L1 Model II/B2 Stereo pair sounds exponentially better with this unit. Haven't had a chance to evaluate the recording or USB playback, or connectivity reliability. Also, it runs hot, so I have it on top of a USB laptop fan cooler pad.

Great live mixer
Took me about an hour to figure out tall the basics and a little longer to figure out recording, DCA groups, and some of the more detailed setups. Presets are really nice to get you started and help you learn the software. Was able to get a good recording of my band without much fuss. Touchscreen could be a lot better but I'm guessing that would have bumped up the price. One feature they should add is the ability to play mp3s from a directory on a thumbdrive. I haven't used the iOS software much (only have a phone) but it seemed solid when I played with it. Best features are that it is so light and portable yet has so much power.

Great compact mixer. Easy on the back.
My rating is for the mixer. I think I may have received an open box unit. I work with a band. Everyone is able send to me via a (MIC level) XLR cable. We have been using an 01V96. What a difference on my back. We have an A1 on some nights. We did tonight for practice. We used the TouchMix. Overall reviews were good from everyone. The A1 said the touch screen was going to have to take some getting use to. He preferred the feel of a motorized fader, but could live with the TouchMix. We did have two issues. The unit reset itself in the middle of a song. We think it may have been the power, but nothing else reset. During a break, someone accidently unplugged the unit. When it was plugged back in, it power cycled several times and then went into some sort of firmware update mode. We exited out and it worked fine the rest of the night. The A1 said there is a firmware update available. I am going to install it before our rehearsal tomorrow night. There is a mystery Ethernet port on the back. Since QSC does not appear to have a custom protocol, like Yamaha, we can't figure out what it is for.

For now, I'll stick with my A&H QU-16 !
I should start this by saying I have been mixing bands for over 30 years, and I own or have owned digital boards by Presonus and Allen & Heath (my current rig is a A&H QU-16) Also, more frequently than not, I mix sound while playing bass in the band, which makes getting to channel and monitor controls quickly a must-have feature. I purchased the Touch-Mix 16 to make set-up easier and because of the extremely small footprint of this mixer. I was not happy with the sound quality compared to the A&H or the fact that the channel trim controls are not digital, but I think that may be unique to my style of mixing and band situation. What I was very unhappy about, and which caused me to return this mixer, is the number of times you must touch the screen to get to things like channel EQ, compression, gating, monitor mixes, monitor eq, etc. With the QU serier, one button press for any channel and you have all channel EQ and dynamics presented on the knobs (encoders) at the same time for quick adjustment. Likewise, monitor mixes are one press and the channel faders all snap to their current mixed position. One more press gives you all the monitor eq and processing parameters presented on the encoders. Very fast and very easy to change. The Presonus StudioLive was even easier, but the QU has 10 aux outs while the Presonus has 6, and the QU has motorized faders which is a big help especially with monitor mixes and GEQ settings. I think the Touch-Mix has great potential, but you need 2 hands available to use it properly, even if you set up multiple iPads dedicated to monitor mix, main graphic eq, etc. I also recommend QSC do away with the analog pre-amp trim controls in lieu of digital control for us users that often set up for the same mics on the same sources every show only to find the trims have moved as a result of packing up the mixer or transporting it in the provided soft case. Then use the knobs to create full-time eq and dynamics encoders that become active with a press of a new, Processing button to get into the active channel or monitor settings. Just a suggestion .... For now, I'll stick with the QU-16, which is disappointing because the TouchMix is really compact, light, easy to pack and transport, and fits where the QU-16 can't. I'll keep waiting! :-)

This mixer is awesome!
This mixer is tiny yet does so much! Really easy to use and sounds great. Easy to save all your setups for the different projects you might be in and records easily in WAV format to a USB drive. I had a problem with the power supply, but the customer service directly from QSC was outstanding... immediately shipped me a brand new power supply free of charge.

To expensive but reliable and well thoght mixer
Great mixer, amazing layout very easy to get around and "mix" very fast, the fx are high quality. It would be nice if qsc would put in a little more color in the app making navigation even easier. The touch screen is ok but you need to press a little hard on the screen.. wish it would be more like a smartphone. the worst of all is the power supply the mixer rebooted to me a lot of times in the middle of live gigs because of power supply connection problems cut out and it was very hard near impossible to reach qsc on email.

Love this mixer.
It’s built well and very practical. Sounds great. So many options and things you can do. We run television production as well as the radio and live cast at the same time. It does well everything we need it fi Or.

Very good portable, small digital console,
For the price, the features you get are outstanding. Having some experience using a variety of different analog and digital consoles, this one does well. It would be nice to have the option to connect it to a computer and create scenes ahead of time but I love being able to use my Ipad, Iphone and have multiple people use their devices. The preamps are not my favourite but they sound good and get the job done. I appreciate the pre-sets, they offer a good starting point for any application. Especially newbies. The touchscreen isn't as sensitive as I maybe would want in comparison to my iPad, but that is likely because it is also more durable than an iPad screen. I would recommend and I would purchase this again.
