Great rod. Butt section is a bit too long for my preference.
Great surf rod. Super long, probably a little more than I need, but the extra length will help get bait further out. If anything, I feel like the butt section is too long. Not a huge deal, but I really think it could be taken down like an entire foot and it would be perfect. I may cut it down myself. Caught several bluefish, pompano, flounder, crabs, pufferfish, and redfish on it and it is in as great of condition as it was when I received it. It fishes.

Great all around surf fishing rod.
My favorite surf fishing rod. Sturdy, yet sensitive. Good size, durable and feels like a quality rod. If it had cork grips it would be PERFECT.

Apparently was used stick. Defective had to send back
I purchase 7-8 ft stick. It came out of the Giant box with no cushion packing and imho was used! Where two pieces join, was so loose and appeared worn and splintered it kept falling apart when attempting to cast. I love the Ugly Stick but this was not a new rod they sent me. Inspect your purchase well. I went to Walmart and brought a 10โ and love it.! For less too.
