I truly hoped that this would work as I bring my mug warmer to meeting with me all of the time, and often have to bring an extension cord with me. Sadly. this did not keep the beverage even slightly warm. I don't think it even slowed down the cooling process. All of the good reviews must have paper cups or the like. I used a regular size ceramic mug... the same one I use on the warmer I have to plug in to the wall.

The other reviewer was completely correct. There was no point for me to suggest adding craft copper sheet metal. I went the aluminum tape route & it was still cold. I know that there is a possibility for one defective product, but that is way off from the thicker, usual cord, candle warmers. I'm not sure about a return right now since I'm planning something, my ink ran out, & I don't want to head to ups any time soon.

Bought this for my father for his birthday.  He wanted a warmer to put a coffee mug on to melt wax melts.  Works great and gets hot fast and not too hot to where you burn yourself.  It comes with this odd little spoon and the decoration to it was a bit ugly, but he was happy with it and the way it worked so I am happy with the purchase too!
