Can you remove one handle?

Yes you can remove one handle, this cup is pretty good, BUT it leaks if it tips over. Also, no instructions come about how to take the lid apart to wash it. If you use it for coffee, be sure to take the lid apart so you can clean it. I honestly think the cup is overpriced.

Can you put hot liquids in this?

We purchased two of these and did put moderately hot liquids in it, we also washed it in the dishwasher. Both cups did crack however around lid pull tab areas quite soon after purchase.

Can the cup be setup w/a single handle instead of two? & Can it be used w/nectar thickened liquids (not as thick as the honey thickened ones)?

From the Manufacturer: Yes, you can use either a single handle or both. The cup is designed for THIN liquids only. No thickeners should be used with this cup.
