Sturdy, Clear, and Works Great
I bought this acrylic terrarium for my son’s bird eater tarantula, and it’s been perfect. It was easy to set up, and the clear panels make it great for viewing. The material feels solid and durable—definitely strong enough for daily use (though I wouldn’t recommend letting the cat sit on it!). Overall, it’s a reliable enclosure that keeps his tarantula safe and secure.

Perfect for Adult Tarantula
I was a bit skeptical as the assembly method looked odd and wasn't exactly sure if it would ship without breaking. I must say assembly was easy (a little trial and error) and it came very well packed. It is good size, even a bit larger than needed for my adult T, has vent holes, a secure lid and locking mechanisms. Same price as smaller creature cages that come with screen tops (bad for Ts) and it is aesthetically superior too. Looks very nice, even display worthy.

Flimsy it warps!
The size and price is why I bought it. I have two growing spotted salamanders about 4". I expected the unit to be made of thicket plex glass! Assembly was relatively simple but the top is what is disappointing! It sags! So if you are ok with a saggy top door its fine. The side top door latches are ok and nothing great bc of the plastic screws etc. The center rear latch for the door latch is worthless, I guess its intended to stop it from sagging?! I ended up using clear silicone on all the sides, bottom etc. also because any water or even fine sand will eventually make its way out the enclosure, so if using other substrates you are fine. Anyway the reason for the silicone was mostly to add structural sturdiness to the enclosure! I don't see how this tank will not warp without the silicone especially with added weight of any rocks or substrate. I also know it was a cheap unit and for the price I am OK with this, but without the added structural silicone it is really not that strong. It is probably only a matter of time till the bottom starts sagging as I have not added any center support under it. I have only moss and some earth with a small water bowl and a piece of ornamental wood. Possibly 3-4" deep with earth. Anyway price for the use is great, this is a transitional enclosure, once they grow to full size I will definitely have a bigger and better suited one. If you are keeping a dangerous insect or snake BE WARE, it might find a way out from the rear of the top where mine is now sagging. Its sagging about 1/4"!! I can easily force my index finger through.

Not perfect for every animal, but has held up for over a year!
Waited awhile to review this just to see how well it held up! I’ve had a subadult (5”) Brachypelma boehmei in this for over a year, and it has worked really well for him. One of the top locks did snap off really early on, but I jammed a piece of cardboard in the slots to keep it shut. That, along with the 2 functional locks, have been fine for HIM, but with animals that try to escape I wouldn’t risk it. It’s got a lot of floor space, but isn’t deep enough for more than a couple of inches or so of substrate, so I don’t think a burrowing species would work. The airflow is excellent—I’ve never had a hint of mold. Mine is an arid species, so it works well for him, but a more moisture dependent species wouldn’t do well. The ventilation slats are fairly wide, so crickets can and do escape. A smaller species of tarantula or other animal could easily slip out, so it’s definitely something to be cautious about. Overall, it was a great purchase for this particular tarantula. I don’t use heat or light, so no warping issues.

Regretful purchase
Keep looking unless you want to spend an ungodly amount of time to assemble all while hoping little pieces didn’t break; you can decipher the instructions, and all the pieces are included. Here are the important things to know: This is basically a kit you have to assemble. The panels are a thin acrylic that has adhesive paper on both sides for ‘protection’. You will spend a good half hour peeling the paper of both sides of every panel. From there, it’s a matter of identifying which panel is which. You then slide tabs onto slots. Each tab is then secured in place by a silicone ring (rubber band essentially, only thicker and presumably more durable). It’s easy enough, but here’s the problem. Two of the tabs in my delivery had a broken nub, so there is nothing for the ring to hook onto on one side of those two tabs. As others have mentioned the final product is pretty flimsy. When all the panels are assembled, your next step is to “fix the small spacers with screws at the holes on both ends of the top” and then you “fix the small disc with screws at the hole in the middle of the top”. The problem here is that there were no screws in the bag. One can’t fix the tabs and disc with screws when there are no screws. I only bought this for it’s size. I wish I would have taken more time to realize this was a self assembly, flimsy enclosure that is not adequate as a long term solution. Please look elsewhere, you can find better.

This thing is awesome
This is beyond perfect for my curly hair tarantula. It was fun to assemble, and it DOES have instructions. Maybe other reviewers we're just unlucky. It equates to about a 5-gallon tank and the ventilation is great. The acrylic will ensure that humidity stays in pretty good and it's just so nice and clean to look at. I'd highly recommend it for use with tarantulas, scorpions, or other inverts, but I wouldn't use it for any reptiles personally, unless it was temporary or like the post says specifically for breeding. The air vents are great for cross-ventilation and I can see it retaining humidity well, but the build is probably not suitable for anything requiring heat. That all said, I'm probably going to be getting some more of these for my creepy crawly friends.

I was surprised it turned out to be acrylic terrarium rather than glass but it was okay, the unwrapping wasn’t a fun part but it’s necessary for protection, although it was easy to assemble I would prefer an instruction sheet because i had to open the pictures and guess what to do, also had to reassemble it twice since it was still unclear, Two of the rubber rings snapped so I appreciate the extras, the lock part isn’t fixed and keeps wiggling whenever you move it, it just unscrews it’s not a big problem for me since it’s for my snail, and it wasn’t meant for them so I can’t complain about the wide gaps, other than that it’s pretty much good.
