We have another style of side-mounted nipple drinkers which can be heated, but are not ideal for ducks as they can't dip their beak into the water. **Q: Ducks have to scoop their food, does this work for ducks!** A: We have moscovy ducks They use it just fine provided you don't have only 2 or 3 ducks **Q: Can it be attached to the outside of coop or just the inside?** A: Either way works , my ducks never use either one though, they prefer dog bowls, one for water and one for food. They have a horse grain bowl for there morning greens in water. I’m going to try the feeder and watered in the chicken coop, maybe they will use it. They are nicely made. **Q: How many days between the waterer and feeder needing to be refilled, with five ducks or chickens?** A: I have four adult ducks and they use up all their water in one day. By the next morning I need to refill the one gallon watered container. They not only drink water, they also clean themselves with it. Their duck feeder with dried flock raiser crumbles or pallets can last 2 to 3 days of food.
