Does the remote work around corners? For example I'm in bed and need to let my dog out.

The wireless remote control of handicap door opener is effective in an open range of 30 meters. If there is a block or corners, the working range will be somewhat reduced, but you can pull out the black antenna in the controller to enhance the signal.

Is it still very hard open when theres no power?
