Great Choice to Introduce you to a hearing aide
Ordered this as a backup to my $4000 pair of Siemens 'signia' aides. This device let's you hear. Volume is good, sound is ok, quality is good, battery life is very good when you remember to turn off the unit. It is a GREAT temporary aide. The negative comments about the sound quality are exaggerated: It is NOT a $4000 aide. It is an excellent choice as a backup or an intro unit to let you hear what you are missing.

Does a nice job amplifying sound
To preface - I started losing my hearing a couple of years ago, and right now I am significantly impaired. I had 2 expensive, prescribed hearing aides. I lost one in a parking lot (I think), and have not been happy with the other one by itself. This is not a 5 star review. I am replacing an item that cost maybe 15 times as much! This is not a high end device, so as such it does not do a great job filtering out extraneous noise, or balancing out frequencies. And it is a little bit on the large size. But for what it costs, it does a very good job amplifying what is out there, and the volume control gives you more than enough power to pick up the sound of low talkers, which is what I struggle with. So I am very pleased. Maybe I should give it the extra star considering the low cost, but you do pick up a lot of noise with this. The product is good, I might consider moving up a little better version soon.

A good upgrade from the BHA-220 (Blue) model.
I bought this after using the BHA-220 for a few weeks. The noise reduction in this model cut almost all white (road) noise out. On the other model you had to filter out the high range, and that's what I wear the device for. Plus, this model is smaller, has a more neutral color, and the tube is much less noticeable compared with the BHA-220. On the negative side, the battery won't last as long. But 150 hours of continuous use for $.25 versus 500 hours for $.25 shouldn't be a burden. The BHA-220 has an off switch, you have to open the battery door to shut this one off. And the blue model has four tone settings, this has two. If you stay home most of the time, the BHA-220 is just fine. If you drive quite a bit or want a lower profile amplifier with noise reduction, get this one (BHA702-S). And thanks to Britzgo for their 30 day return policy with free return shipping. I didn't even have to go to the Post Office to send back the other model. PSAs are a bit like buying reading glasses from a drug store. They won't do everything the $600 no-line color-changing bifocals with the designer frame will, but for a lot of people they fill a need for a reasonable cost.

Not impressed
This came in a package that looked like it was previously opened. It worked for one batteries worth of time. In the small time frame it was functional, it worked well. For the tiny amount of time it worked it was not worth the price.

REVIEWS ARE FAKE. THESE ARE JUNK. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE IN A BATHROOM WITH HAIR DRYER BLASTING
I have had hearing aids before. I have hearing loss in the high tones and have gotten by without hearing aids for years, but I'm working on a film set and figured I'd try these as a low cost way to help me hear when I really need to. NO NOISE CANCELLING like it states on the title and description. In fact, at the lowest volume setting, it sounds like you're in a wind tunnel or are standing behind a jet plane engine. Or in a tiny bathroom with someone blasting one of those high power, high pitched hair dryers. Sound from the stereo in the car while parked is muffled and music is tinny and hard to hear because of the wind and poor quality. You can be in the most silent room and these sound like you're in a wind tunnel being blasted with 100MPH wind. MODE SWITCH DOES NOTHING. The switch beeps once or twice, but has ZERO EFFECT on sound. I tried them in various conditions. SQUEALING AND FEEDBACK. If you put your hand close to your ear, or your phone, you get feedback. Even at the lowest setting. NO PHONE INTEGRATION OR MANUAL PHONE USE> CANNOT HEAR THROUGH PHONE EAR PIECE WHEN HOLDING PHONE TO EAR WITH HEARING AIDS IN. If you put your phone to your ear, you hunt around trying to hear the other person and even when you find the right spot, it's too low to hear. The only way to use a phone would be to put it on speaker and hold the speaker close the hearing amplifier. Even then it sounds terrible with all the ambient wind type noise and hiss. Plus, your conversations are not private and if in a room with other people or say a restaurant, good luck. The only way I could take a call was to pull the unit out of my ear. NO OFF SWITCH. I tried getting used to the hiss and ambient noise created by the units, but after a few days could not handle it. I worry this might damage my hearing more. Sometimes to hear over the his and noise, or for relief from the noise, or to better hear something like music, I would want to turn them off without taking them out, but to do so, you need to partially open the battery door and risk losing the battery. If you want to return these, you need to go through a SPECIAL AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE GROUP for these kinds of devices. I can't remember what they called it. Let's just say that they DO NOT WANT YOU TO RETURN THESE and it is not as simple as a normal Amazon Prime return.. My hearing loss is mild, but these make it worse. Save your money, time and aggravation and avoid these like the plague.

Met my need.
I have been using the Britzgo atto for 3 years. Wonderful devise. My hearing has gotten worse so I I tried the 702 Cano. It was time to move up to more expensive model. The cano is amazing. So much so I orered one for the other ear. I have them adjusted to work together. And my hearing is great. Hearing store was going to charge me 1500.00 dollars. I am on a retired budget and I just couldn't do that. Medicare doesn't cover hearing aids. The costumer service has been wonderful and they have videos on YouTube. I had one otto stop working and they sent me a new one in three days. For the cost I think it is worth a try and you have 45 days for full refund.

Pretty good--especially for the money
I already had one Britzgo that I bought when I first realized I needed something. I got it to get my by until I could get properly evaluated by an audiologist and get a "real" hearing aids. Well, I needed a pair of hearing aids. I bought a basic Phonak set which have helped but which can get uncomfortable due to the custom ear molded plastic on the end of the wire (not a tube system). Well, I need to send the Phonaks in for service and will be without them for a while. I dusted off the one Britzgo and it sounded pretty good so I bought the 2d one to have a pair. It seems to operate even better than the matching older one. In fact, these sound better in close conversation than the Phonaks and are more comfortable. The one big drawback is that they do not suppress background noise very well. There is a button that helps mute the sounds but it doesn't do enough.--especially in large rooms, stairwells, and restaurants where noise from behind gets picked up and competes with the sounds you do want to hear. The volume button is a bit difficult to find and adjust but that's a minor issue. Overall, for the price, these are excellent backups and should serve persons with better hearing than mine. Be prepared, if you are expecting lifelike sounds these won't give them. But my Phonaks are tinny as well. A lot of that is due to my hearing limitations though.
