Panasonic SC-PM602 EBK Hi-Fi
Ordered this to replace an existing mini Panasonic unit that we've had for over 12 years. That was very good, and so is this one! On paper the spec looks great and just what we were wanting. We especially wanted a unit with Bluetooth to enable us to stream music from our phones. The SC-PM602EBK has a 40watt total output and has bluetooth and many other features too, including Fm/DAB radio, USB port, headphone port, cd player etc. Quite a good spec for the price. It has a handly remote control which also works very well and simplifies most things. After the unit was delivered, it was a simply process to set it up. The instructions are basic but it's very much self evident what you need to do. Just make sure to connect up the speakers correctly (positive & negative leads) as if you get that wrong you can damage the unit. The sound quality is very good indeed for such as small unit. We have it in our lounge, which is pretty big, yet the power of the unit and sound quality fills the room with exactly the sound we were looking for. Don't get me wrong, it's not THE best sound, but very good indeed for the price and size of the unit. Even hi-fi experts will be fairly pleased with this one. It sounds like a more expensive unit. You can of course adjust the treble and bass and there is a bass boost button which really makes a difference across the range of sound. We find streaming music from our phones easy using the bluetooth feature. Quality is brilliant as it has digital upscaling to re-create the original studio sound. It seems to do that quite effectively. All the other features work well and the upscaling works across all those features including the cd's and usb functions. Radio quality either in FM or DAB is perfect in our area using just the indoor digital aerial supplied. All in all it's a really well sorted unit with an air of quality to it. No complaints here!

Bringing music back to life
It is probably over 30 years since I last bought a proper hifi. In recent years I have moved away from listening through headphones to using bluetooth speakers, but the small speakers I had just didn't have enough oomph. So I decided that as I still have lots of CDs, I would buy something that would do them justice, yet be modern enough to give flexibility in function. The system was easy to set up - and what a wonderful feeling to be surrounded with high quality sound again. Unfortunately after the first CD, the device refused to play any other discs. The seller was amazing, and within 2 days of highlighting the issue, they had sent out a replacement, with the faulty unit collected at the same time by the postman. The replacement unit is working perfectly and the house is full of music again - I had forgotten how therapeutic it can be - and I have to admit to turning the volume right up on some tracks (reliving my 30 year younger self perhaps?). I also like that there is a bluetooth connection, so I can listen to streamed radio or playlists as well. I live in an area with almost no FM radio signal, so have not been able to try out that function. For my purposes, the system is spot on and I'm really pleased with the purchase.

An excellent system for the money but a couple of niggles.
I bought this for use in my kitchen having had ten years of satisfaction from an earlier, similar Panasonic system (SA-PM38DB) in my conservatory, which is still as good as ever. The sound quality is excellent and the volume good enough for it to be clearly heard 20 yards away in the garden with the windows open. I mostly use it for the DAB radio but have used the bluetooth, the CD player and played music from a memory stick in the USB socket: these are also fine. The great thing about the DAB radio is much clearer sound and a much wider choice of stations. Several reviews comment on the display being invisible. This is an issue on a bright, sunny day - my kitchen is a bright room. The screen is okay when it is dull or dark outside. My older model in the conservatory has the same problem but as I basically listen rather than watch the screen it doesn't bother me. However on this model seeing the screen is more important because ....(see below) My main gripe is the small remote. To switch stations on the older model you have number keys on the remote, you just hit 2 or 5 or whichever preset number to choose a station. On this model, however, there are no numbers on the remote. You have to press "play menu" three times and then scroll backwards or forwards through your preset numbers. This is much more cumbersome and if it is bright and you cannot see the screen it is not so easy to know which number you are on! If you can live with these niggles this is otherwise an excellent system for a very reasonable price. Not super hi-fi quality, maybe, but very good.

Mini hifi
Great sounding system, easy to tune dab with 2 buttons on remote. CDs sound really crisp with good bass and highs. Bluetooth linked to echo dot easily to listen to Amazon music. Usb works well, but as always, files are randomly placed when used. Remote a bit sparse but I like it having no number buttons. Very small but just as big sounding as the Sony xb6 it replaces. Very good value.Anyone looking for cd track info, press display and track number stays on with time of track played, and pressed again gives track number with time remaining. Attach provided aerial to a wall with the two end pounts in a vertical line for best signal. Everything else is ridiculously straight forward. Anyone as sad as me wanting to see the clock when in standby, press display on the remote, and the clock will appear for a few seconds.

Good little system
This is a really good little sustem. It's not too of the range by any means but for my flat it is perfect. Sound is fine, the remote xontroll is good and I like that I can use my old MP3 player on usb port at the front, and it looks smart too. Overall worth the money and I am not in slightest disappointed with it at all.
