Occasionally, a groove will form in the plastic, stopping the line; and being small, means it takes longer for the hook and sinker to pull the line all the way through. Whereas the Thill Pro Series bobber has a metal grommet with a larger opening, allowing the line to go through faster, I now use the Thill Pro Series on all of my fishing rods and I love them.

These are solid. Great product very nice look feel and design. They came in fast and are super easy to use. I used them for crappie fishing. I ended up in a tree and was super mad because I lost this in the process. Will definitely buy again.
