No matter what you use it for, it balances if the hand very nicely. I first began using it when I was machine piece quilting. It guides, it feeds, it eases and provides tension; invaluable and better product outcome. I also do glass fusing and sometimes have to manipulate very tiny pieces of glass into position. Often my fingers were too large and visibility poor around and underneath them. So, I stole this stiletto from my sewing room for my glass work space in the garage. I finally bought another in order to have the tool in each place. That is how much I like this tool! I don't want to do either craft without it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Quality Very Useful Tool *by N***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2019* I intitally bought this not knowing exactly how I would use it. I was happy to immediately find continued use for this tool in my needlework projects. I love the beautifully lathe turned, long solid wood handle and the long strong needle tip. I wish there were different needle tool tips available for this handle! I only hand sew, and I use it to isolate the carpet loops when cutting miniature rug pile. I also use it to adjust varying sized loops and find thin unpunched areas in needle punching, and to use as a “lift” when sewing on buttons.
