Excellent clock Particularly like the dimming feature

I bought this for the big bright easy to see display and because I was fed up with an overly complicated PURE radio alarm that for all it's cleverness had a tiny display and was a real pain to use. This is not the easiest to set up but have a little patient and you'll get there. The instructions are more of gesture in direction of how to set the thing than a detailed manual but they suffice. The radio alarm clock feels really well made and robust and looks stylish. The buttons are a little on the small side but overall it's a good product that does what it should. I particularly like the way the radio alarm sound comes on gradually rather than a sudden burst of sound.

It arrived on time and it works as expected. Being able to change the brightness is handy. I use the dimmest setting at night and the brightest during the day. There's a total of three brightness levels. Having two alarms is helpful too. Regarding the comments by other reviewers about the instructions being insufficient, I managed to figure out how to set everything up without looking at the notes.

Love it, easy to set up

Has been in use for years now. It has been reliable. Sounds reasonable for an alarm clock.

I bought this for my mum. The clock face is huge so the time is very clear to see but the setup was a nightmare for her so I had to set it up

Radio came on quietly but increased in volume .too loud first thing in themorning. . Sent it back

The radio worked well - but unfortunately the clock didn't work at all, hence the return. However I can say that the 'get started' manual promised was not included, and the online manual was intended for a different version of the model, with somewhat different controls shown. This is also nor cheap. For what it does there are cheaper products on the market

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem schlichten, aber zuverlässigen Radiowecker ohne viel Schnickschnack – und der Philips TAR3306 erfüllt genau diesen Zweck. ​Was mir besonders gut gefällt: ​Das Display: Die Zahlen sind wirklich groß und hell genug, dass man sie auch ohne Brille nachts sofort erkennt. Trotzdem leuchten sie das Zimmer nicht flutartig aus. ​Die Bedienung: Die Einrichtung war intuitiv. Man muss kein Technik-Genie sein, um die Weckzeit oder den Sender einzustellen. ​Sanftes Wecken: Das Feature "Gentle Wake" ist super. Die Lautstärke des Radios oder des Summtons steigt langsam an, sodass man nicht vor Schreck aus dem Bett fällt. ​Backup-Funktion: Dank der Batteriefunktion (optional) vergisst der Wecker bei einem kurzen Stromausfall nicht die Zeit – ein absolutes Muss für mich.

It does the job pretty well. Though it's mono FM works well. But I guess things like Bluetooth connectivity, time since etc. missing.
