YoLink Water Shutoff Kit: Controller + EVO + 3-Pack Sensors + Hub

The hardware is easy to mount and install (1" copper supply before the water meter) and wiring connectivity between the valve, operator module, set up the wireless connectivity through the hub was pretty easy. The power connector and connections have been pretty stable. Pairing with the app was easy. The features in the app are intuitive to use. Actions work reliably well and are accurate. I have configured 1 leak detector for now and will be setting up couple others soon. Overall, the app is intuitive and handles everything maturely. These are a bunch of good products with good quality material and gives me peace of mind.

I am most pleased with the YoLink water leak detection and shutoff starter kit. The installation instructions were clear and extra parts were provided to accommodate various installation options. My water shutoff valve was a bit difficult to open & close manually and I was a bit concerned the valve operator might struggle, but as it turned out the actuator had no difficulty. The parts included are substantial and of good quality. Pairing the multiple leak detectors to the the actuator via D2D was straightforward and doesn't require internet connectivity to function. The operator includes battery backup so it works even in the event of an electrical power outage. Bonus, the leak detetectors include a temperature sensor which allows remote monitoring. Money well spent, I highly recommend!

I’ll start by emphasizing great customer service. I had a minor issue with my order. The kit I purchased included four sensors but only three arrived. I contacted the company, they apologized and within two days the additional sensor was on my doorstep shipped all the way across the country. The system installation and set up was a breeze. It could not have been easier. I tested it after set up and it worked exactly as described, no issues. The app was an easy download and allows me to see and control the system from anywhere. Great piece of mind because we once had a water heater leak and it was a long cleanup. Now with this system any future leak will be minor as it shuts the water down immediately. I highly recommend this company and their products.

This device is life changing. I researched extensively compared to MOEN, and YoLink is head and shoulders above! Relies on device to device communication, not wifi, back up battery, and no false alarms (that the other brand is known for false alarms and things like the water shutting unexpectedly or hard water causing false readings) With YoLink you put sensors where you want, you select if you want the water immediately shut off or a warning first etc. The other brand relies on automation/ you don't control all actions (people reported they often needed to call a plumber). YoLink on the contrary got stellar reviews. YoLink leak sensors are available in puck style or rope style, audible or not. I LOVE MY YOLINK!! I had an entire pipe burst as I boarded a plane at thanksgiving this year - in the 30 min time when I got alerted from my previous leak sensor and scrambled to call a neighbor to run to shut my main, I had catastrophic damage. Whole house flooded, standing water inches deep. Yes I had sensors so I got "alerts" but I needed to get someone to the house. NOW with YoLink, the main is automatically shut off IMMEDIATELY at the first detection of water. Within seconds, the main is shut. I have my sanity back. After the flood, before I discovered YoLink, I was manually shutting my main off every time I left the house. But honestly even while you sleep, or run to the store is enough time for a burst pipe to do thousands of dollars of damage. Now the response is immediate. Leak detected = water off! You can also control the shut off valve from your phone but the entire system is automatic. I LOVE YOLINK! I finally have peace of mind. I cannot say enough about this device. It's flawless.

I did a lot of research before choosing the YoLink shut-off system. And I am very happy I purchased the system. Within two weeks of having it installed (I had to have a plumber install some lines, as I had very little room), the system alerted me to a leak in the master bathroom toilet and another leak underneath my kitchen sink. I have YoLink sensors placed everywhere in my house where that potential for a leak would happen. The device is easy to install, and the app on your phone is really easy to follow. Amazing how it works when it senses a leak. The valve closes within seconds and alerts you to the exact location of the leak. Simply an amazing product. I also had to call their service department for a small issue with setting up the app, and to my amazement, a person answered within seconds and fixed the issue with great instructions from a very pleasant person. Thank you, YoLink, for a great product that I highly recommend.

This system is quite easy to set up. And I can confirm from experience, they work exactly as advertised. I have 6 sensors, the speaker hub and the water shutoff device. Just recently, the alarm went off because a valve on my hot water tank was leaking. It wasn't a big leak, but who knows how long it would have gone before I found it in the basement. The detector sensed the small wet spot, the alarm sounded, my phone notifications went off, and the auto shutoff valve did it's job. Very impressive. Thankfully I was home at the time, but the shut-off was automatic so if we weren't home the damage would be contained.

In this age of cheap Chinese garbage, Amazon junk listings, fly-by-night companies, and generally low quality products, it was a REAL TREAT to come across this company and its products. In fact, this product exceeded my expectations by so much that I was half-expecting something terrible to happen, like it bursting on fire or something similar. Firstly, every one of the products I bought, (shut-off valve, hub, 3 water leak sensors, 2 outdoor temp sensors for freezers, and 2 indoor temp sensors for environmental control), are SOLIDLY MADE. You can feel it in your hand, and it's a feeling that's getting rarer and rarer these days for consumer goods. They're well-made and just SOLID, with absolutely nothing feeling cheap at all. Installation of the shut-off valve was so ridiculously easy I was almost in shock about it. I did have to trim the sprinkler box that my valve was inside, but my multi-tool made short work of the plastic box. (See pics.) I only had slight difficulty with the included band clamps, one of which wasn't manufactured correctly and wouldn't tighten. In fact, fiddling with the large clamp trying to get it to work took more time than anything else I did, including trimming the box! I eventually went with the two smaller clamps, which worked excellently. The whole install took perhaps 30 minutes, including digging out and putting away tools. Perhaps a helpful note - don't try to activate the valve without first pressing on the release button on the bottom of the unit case, the lever won't budge. The rest of the devices went into my freezers, attic, and garage without issue. When I got to the software, that's where I really expected there to be problems, since many of these "smart" companies aren't very smart at all, and they don't seem to test their apps for user-friendliness before releasing them. However, I was amazed at how simple it all really was. Getting the hub online, adding devices to it, creating rooms, configuring alarms, etc, all of it was quick and absolutely painless. The only real quibble I could have, (and it isn't much of one at all), is that the alarm section took a moment to figure out. But within a ridiculously short time I had all the devices added and their operating parameters set. Perhaps another helpful note - when you turn on a device for the first time, give it a full minute to link up to the hub. If you don't, the device will add to the hub but it will show as offline, and won't appear to ever come online. After doing that twice, (adding the device within a few seconds of turning it on), I then waited a few for the rest and they added without issue. All of my testing, (temperatures turning on fans and heaters, water leaks activating the valve, etc), all passed with flying colors. All in all, this just feels like money well spent, and YoLink has become one of my favorite companies. Highly recommend.

I purchased this diy water leak detection and shut-off start kit recently, it is very easy to setup the controller with the new water leak sensor, firmware version 0361. However during the time when do D2D pairing between the controller and the sensors, the connection is not working with my old sensors firmware version 030a. After talked to Yosmart support and the issues are fixed after they issued new upgrade from cloud to the my sensors in questions. During the time of troubleshooting, I can tell their team is very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and provided the detail instructions step-by-step. Also, Mr. Thomas from Yolink support should be given 5 stars service award, he has been helping me out to get the issue sorted out finally. Yolink's products are highly recommended and I have been using their products over 5 years without having any issues, it will bring peace of mind regardless you are at home or away on vacation.

Easy to install, works excellent!

Simple setup, works as advertised. Purchased after washing machine failure. This was super easy to setup and works great. Valve response is pretty quick. Alerts you on your phone and closes the valve automatically.

Excellent system, if you’re not r teck savvy get a friend to go through the setup together everything connected easily once I figured out the instructions lol

Easy to install, works well. It has triggered once accidentally (someone spilled water on the sensor), and was easy to reset manually and via app.
