DIY Automatic Water Leak Detection & Shut-Off Starter Kit, EVO Valve Operator, Wireless Valve Controller, (3) Leak Sensors, Hub

Due to a water claim for the previous owners on our new home, we needed to add an automatic water shut off device to get insured. We didn't have have the ability to do invasive work on the plumbing and all the other products needed to be installed by a plumber or a very confident diy-er who was willing to gamble with something as high risk as the main water line whuch we were not comfortable working on. The last thing you want is to make a mistake on something like this. Due to this requirement we decided to purchase this product but were honestly happy to do so. Our minds are at ease knowing that if there's a leak this device will not only notify my where- depending on where I install the little sensors, but also shut the water off entirely. Smart controls are fantastic you can set automations and decide if you want to be notified or have it shut the water off automatically. What's also nice is that you can have it powered with regular batteries, so there's no need to deal with wires everywhere, or finding an outlet nearby, or water proof connections- which I also didn't have where my yo link is now located. I believe the battery can last up to 2 years but even if it's just 6 months I wouldn't have an issue with it seeing as how convenient this is, I can't complain whatsoever. Powerful little device, gives me peace of mind and with all the other housework I'm doing by myself, it's nice to ask Google to shut the water on or off to test what I need to when working on minor plumbing repairs. Price is great and it's more analog than other devices since it uses water sensors and manually shuts off the water, but it honestly gives me more peace of mind since we know if it's wet it's going to set off the automation or alarm without a doubt. If it's running low on battery you'll see it right on the app. Huge plus is that you can place these sensors anywhere! I'm planning on purchasing more to add to my garage in the future! You can't go wrong with this. Good quality, easy to use app, easy to install, integrates with my Google home ecosystem, sensors can be placed anywhere you want giving you full control. Comparable products can be $500+ and that's not even including install which would have ran us another $600 at best. Whether you need it for insurance or for peace of mind. The cost of this is well worth preventing future damage that can occur by not having one installed. Oh and I can attest the sensor work great! Kids were splashing water a bit much in the tub. Wet the floor and just like that all the water was shut off immediately. Sensor works by water either falling on it or water poolibg under it so it can be placed under sinks or areas where leaks can occur, or directly on the floor like in a bathroom! Can't recommend this enough. You won't regret it and might even save you future headaches!

I am most pleased with the YoLink water leak detection and shutoff starter kit. The installation instructions were clear and extra parts were provided to accommodate various installation options. My water shutoff valve was a bit difficult to open & close manually and I was a bit concerned the valve operator might struggle, but as it turned out the actuator had no difficulty. The parts included are substantial and of good quality. Pairing the multiple leak detectors to the the actuator via D2D was straightforward and doesn't require internet connectivity to function. The operator includes battery backup so it works even in the event of an electrical power outage. Bonus, the leak detetectors include a temperature sensor which allows remote monitoring. Money well spent, I highly recommend!

We are not home a lot. I have a flume water monitor (purchased in Amazon). Thee flume gives you a push notification when water has been running more than 20 minutes. (You can set up the notification time period.) When you are not home and get this notification you can see how many gallons of water is running. This is where YoLink comes in. You open the YoLink app and can shut off the main waterline for the whole house. If you don't have a flume, YoLink has small water leak monitors (see photo). You can strategically place them where a water leak can occur, such as under toilet or under a sink. (Four of these come with YoLink and additional ones can be purchased.) When these little disks detects water it sends a signal to the main YoLink and the main YoLink turns on and automatically shuts off the water main valve. The YoLink and disks are easy setup. (Takes about 20 minute and no technical knowledge is needed.) Everything connects to your WiFi easily. It's very intuitive. There is very good customer service if you need. It is well worth the small cost. Ours has been working flawless for several months now. We test it monthly by using the app to turn the water main off and on again. The main YoLink at your water valve must be plugged into an electrical outlet with or without an extension cord. The unit also needs WiFi. As one last note, make sure you check your main water shut off valve. This unit works with a main water shut off valve that has a lever handle to shut it off. (See photo.) YoLink also has other units for different types of shut off valves. If you are unsure of what type to purchase, just give them a phone call.

Love this YoLink kit. Well designed, easy to install, robust app and protocals make this a no brainer set up for leak detection and water main shut off.

Great product. Works as expected, and easy to install. Provides the peace of mind you want in cold winters that you can, or it will with it's leak sensors, shut off the water remotely if you ever encounter a water leak while you are away.

So far, so good. And now I don't worry about water leakage in my house, especially when we are traveling. When we switched insurance companies, we were asked for proof of a household automatic water shut off valve. Never having had one before, I went into research mode and came across this YoLink product. I love that it can work on battery backup and does not need the internet. Installation (even in my crawl space) was pretty easy. Just remove your ball valve handle, place the unit over the shutoff valve and tighten everything up. I placed a sensor in the crawl space, under sinks, and next to the water heater. I tested it several times over the next couple of weeks and it worked flawlessly to cut the water to the whole house. Money well spent!

Easy to install, works well. It has triggered once accidentally (someone spilled water on the sensor), and was easy to reset manually and via app.

Simple setup, works as advertised. Purchased after washing machine failure. This was super easy to setup and works great. Valve response is pretty quick. Alerts you on your phone and closes the valve automatically.

I am impressed with the quality. Instructions could have been easier for the communication setup.
