Sharpies are king for permanent markers. However the moment they get wet, or touch something like geese, they become useless. These markers on the other hand don't care and will keep working! They have been amazing! They wrote on most everything and are actually usable when the container or surface is less than ideal. The only downside is they do have a tendency to wipe away if you don't let it fully dry. Sometimes that's not possible, sl as long as you don't touch it while wet it'll eventually stay. Overall they work well and definitely are more usable when something isn't perfectly clean!

I was working with some drywall, trying to construct my new wall to create my bedroom. I could keep track of a marker to save my life, and when I could, the drywall dust would just dry out the marker. Well these markers don't care about drywall, they're made of nails I imagine. The ink doesn't bleed, they write clear and have a sturdy tip. A+

These markers write on everything. Used in a metal shop to mark steel plate before cutting.

I bought these markers because Im a Land Surveyor and write on lathes all the time for construction staking. I used markers from the Survey supply shop for a long time and wanted to try something different and these where right on par with professional black markers. The ink comes out thick and bleeds in the wood very well and I haven't replaced the one I am using for a couple of weeks so they last as well.

Bought these for husband for work. He loves them! Writes on every surface, even dusty or dirty surfaces. Perfect for carpenters!

I had to write a review because I suspect some of the negative reviews are from folks treating these markers as typical permanent markers used for crafts and other random household uses. This is NOT what these are designed for. Like most tools in life, pair the right tool for the right job. As designed, these have been absolutely perfect for our organization. We use these out in the field to quickly mark up utility meters. The surfaces we encounter are typically dusty with coarse surfaces, or even covered in rust. We have continually tested several other options over the years, including Sharpie Industrial, but finally found the right ones. These are it.

Ive been using these for almost a year. I work in the culinary world. They last for quite some time. But they struggle to write on wet or oily surfaces. Purchased Jan. 7th, 2025. Reviewed Dec. 18th, 2025

They work flawlessly and great for the price, but unfortunately if you get the tips soaked in water they do not write( on metal) but still work after the water dries out!!! That’s amazing!!!
