Hickory Walking Stick and Hiking Staff - Up to 60" Tall - by Creation Carvings

I love this hiking staff. I bought it while recovering from pneumonia and have walked with it every day since it arrived. It supports my whole weight (~160 lbs) when I become dizzy or get out of breath. It enables me to take longer and longer walks each day so as to regain my health. It is tall enough for me (5'8") to be completely secure walking anywhere, even on ice. The wood is beautiful; the staff has been very carefully crafted but it has plenty of knots and marks that only real wood features. I will gladly keep walking with this staff long after I have fully recovered my health--not just on hikes, but around town, to and from work, and on trips. Customer service is exemplary.

The stick looked great in the photo and even better in person! Weight is about right and I was used to using a cane but it was hurting my shouder leaning down all ther time...but thank God I got this walking stick! Feels so much better and I hardly need to push off to keep going! I'm 5-11 and the length was perfect...seeemed a bit long at first but I was used to my cane...after a trial walk. I used the length of the stick and my stride increased, which gave me a great workout! A great investment if you like walking outdoors!

I wanted something to assist me walk and stand up. Canes will work, but I find myself stooping over while walking. Not so with a staff. Getting out of a chair a staff seems to offer more leverage. Another plus. I use my staff for daily sojourns out and about. I also like to fish, and many times to paths to fishing spots or the process or getting into the boat are filled with obstacles. The staff removes them. As you can tell, I got the 60-"er. It flexes a bit, but it doesn't weigh 25 pounds, either. I'm 270 and I am not worried about it breaking in the least. Get one, you''ll be glad you did.

I purchased this for my Dad to use. He has very bad back problems, and therefore trouble getting around. He won't use a cane, but he absolutely loves this walking stick. It's beautifully crafted and really sturdy. My dad is a large man, 6'7" + 300 lbs and the stick holds up really well. Would definitely recommend this product and purchase it again.

I am 77 y/o, retired, and hike approximately 1,000 miles per year. I hike on trail and off trail. When I track off trail, I am crossing brooks, streams, swamps, and old stone wall. At my age, I need a good hiking stick to do this without injuring myself. This stick fills the bill to a T. It is of excellent quality and also a work of art. It is obviously hand made by excellent craftsmen. If you are trying to decide on buying it, and have read negative reviews, ignore them. Read all the positive reviews for a broader and clearer idea of just how great this stick is. My advice is to buy it, lace up the hiking shoes, put a copy of the Penguin edition of the Portable Thoreau in your sling pack, and immerse yourself in the world that Nature has given us.

We bought it as a gift for our neighbor and it crack right up the middle in less than a month

I was disappointed with the diameter of hickory stick. It is advertised as 350 pound load bearing. I expected a more sturdy stick. In the attached photo you can see your Creation Carving stick on the right. 1 1/16 inch diameter. 60" My favorite stick is on the left. It was a gift several years ago. 1 1/2 inch diameter. 60" It feels more comfortable and sturdier. There doesn't appear to be any sticks this size on your web site. Do you have the larger diameter sticks?

From the moment I received my walking stick I was impressed. The quality, craftsmanship, and overall appearance, it is superb. Curve of the staff is perfect for me. I use it almost everyday. Never go to the woods without it.
