I have purchased all the books in this series (I think) and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. My granddaughter is only 20 months, and she has enjoyed these books for the last 3 months. Very educational and fun at the same time. They are virtually indestructable, which is extremely important to me, since she had destroyed several other pop-up/interactive books. I've had to buy three copies of "Wheels on the Bus"! (Which is my all time favorite childrens book) I have bought litterally hundreds of childrens books over the years for my own children, grand children, and others. I'm a big believer in starting as early as possible when it comes to reading. Trust me when I say you want this book in your collection. Even though it's not a story book, it will still be a favorite due to it's interesting content and new style interactive devices. It will teach, entertain, and last forever. What more can you ask from a childrens book? A little pricey, but well worth the money in my opinion. Review: Beautiful children’s book - Beautiful children’s book

Great for inquisitive toddlers!
My sister received this book as a gift at her baby shower. To my surprise the adults spent the rest of the evening playing with it! Because it was such a hit, I decided to purchase it for my daughter who is 18months old. She loves all of the moving parts and the book is well made enough to stand up to her exuberance. All of the moving parts are covered so little fingers can't get in there to be pinched or ruin the pieces, yet the pull tabs are big and easy enough to move that she can do it herself. There are all sorts of textures to find an feel so she is busy discovering something new every time we read it. Great book for hours of enjoyment for both you and your little one.

Amazing books!
These books are the best! We have to periodically hide them from my daughter because she becomes so obsessed with them. So fun and interactive!

Breaks easily
This book is so cool but feels absolutely impossible to keep in one piece with a little one. I love how they adapted some pages with clear plastic to avoid this but seems like every page could use the protective plastic.

The best of all the Van Fleet's
We have each of the following Matthew Van Fleet books like this: Heads, Tails, MOO, Dog,and Alphabet. This is by far the best!!! (However, each book is an absolute winner! You cannot go wrong.) When my first son was born, I did an in home daycare, and every child I kept loved these books. Their ages were 6 mos to 2 1/2 years. Now I have 17 month old twins (and no daycare) and these boys love them too. Each one has been read so many times that I have had to replace all of them. I gladly do it, because they are absolute favorites. I think the allure is the hidden pictures, the moving animals and the fact that it is short enough to keep the pages moving to keep their attention. I just can't say enough good things about the Matthew Van Fleet books. *The reason I have to replace them is because they are not board books. The pages are paper, although thick, and can be torn. Since I can't read them to my boys as many times as they would like (they would literally like me to read these 20 times in a row more than once a day), they are able to cruise through them at their leisure. Over time, they have ripped the flip up parts and the heads/tails/animals that are moveable and not protected by plastic. I think this is just how it goes in the world of books and toddlers and is not a lack of quality by any means on the part of the manufacturer.

Great Book for Toddler
I bought this book for my son and he loved it. I ended it up buying the whole collection from a local book store.

Van Fleet does it again!
My son already owned and loved Tails and Alphabet, also by Matthew Van Fleet. When Heads was published, I knew we had to have it. The book is fantastic. It's funny, it has great textures for toddlers to touch, and it showcases a great variety of animals. There are a lot of pull tabs in this book and many of the moving parts are protected behind plastic cases (which is a welcome addition since, in other books, my son kept maiming animals in his enthusiam to make them move). Even though this book is quite expensive for a toddler book, it is well worth it. My 16-month-old rushes to pull it off the shelf and stares, slack-jawed in amazement, through every reading.

This is a brilliant lift the flap book, which is what we expect from this author. The text is in rhyme and my child likes to complete the end rhyme on each page. The sticky tongue of the frog catching a fly is really sticky to the touch, which is a wonderful little quirk. The end page has a big pull out pop up of a whale and all the animals in the book, and there is an amazing variety for what seems like a relatively short book! Great for toddlers who can maim a lift the flap/pop out book beyond repair in minutes - really sturdy hard board with meaty levers to manoeuvre. Would recommend.

It's an interesting book not just for toddlers but for adults too.. From the pictures posted one can understand how amazing the book is, it shows what heads, neck, eyes, ears, tongue, nose and mouth can do with really beautiful illustrations, one can push and pull the arrows to see the animals do various actions on each page, it's a huge fat book with fat pages.

Picked this up from the post office just today. I think it got in around 3 days ago. Quite a long shipping turnaround time but it’s fine. The quality is good considering the price. I didn’t expect it to be such a heavyset, super-thick board book with a sturdy construction, which was a pleasant surprise. My 6-month-old hasn’t done much damage to it yet. The only thing is that one of the flaps wasn’t working (as in the photo of the hippo)—I wouldn’t call it “like new” condition because of this. There are also a few signs of slight wear on other pages. But on the whole, a really good product for about €7 in total (inc. shipping).
