It is a very fine powder, not grainy at all.

If it just has a plain screw cap, does it at least have a button in the center that pops up when the bottle is opened?

I think mine had a protective plastic cover and then a foil cover under the lid..

Fresh, powerful, good. It won’t taste like bought mustard unless you add salt and vinegar and anything else that you want to try but it’s definitely a strong, good, organic base to begin with. And to experiment with.
