Definitely not 6lbs each. Probably for all together. But mine have held up for a year or so now with BIG, extremely heavy plants/planyers on them with no sign of wear or tear. At this price, and how long they've lasted me thus far, I'd just buy more if they started to crack and needed replacing. They don't roll as well on carpet if they're weighed down heavily, but they still do roll. And, mine have locking wheels, so I'm confident when using them on tables, hearths, or counters. Definitely worth the price to me. I hope this helps.
