Designed in Germany but where is this product made?

I own three Braun alarm clock which are 20 years old and functioning beautifully. However as I have become aware that these are manufactured in China I prefer to look elsewhere.

I need instructions on line; cannot figure out how to reset and lost the paoer instructions?

The clock can be reset by using a pin or similar small item to push in the reset button. This button is located at the far left of the back of the clock, to the left of the ON-OFF button that controls the BACKLIGHT function.

How can you stop the alarm after it goes off without sliding the on/off button in the back and the alarm will still sound the next day? Or can you?

Do not believe the clock alarm function can be shut off EXCEPT by using the ALARM ON/OFF slider at the top center of the back. In other words, you must activate the function each day. No independently recurring function possible, only manual use of ON/OFF slider.m each occasion.

The instructions say not to use rechargeable batteries. Why not? What about lithium batteries?

The rechargeable batteries are not fully powered as regular good branded alkaline batteries which may impact its functionality, hence we recommended to use good branded alkaline batteries.
