What kind of transfer speeds can you expect to get? Will be connecting this to a TB NAS

Accepted Answer

The data transfer rate with the Corning Optical Cable should not be any faster or slower than any other Thunderbolt cable - the benefit of the Corning cable is the extended length. The transfer speed will be dependent on the equipment being used and its capabilities.

In a mac w/ thunderbolt 2 connection and dayschain w/ssd's drives) and thunderb2 port. .is there difference in speed bet optical and regular t.cables?

No difference at all.  Just much, much thinner.  I have a thunderbolt2 optical cable and a USB3 one.  I have SSD drives, spinning drives, LaCie dualdrive raid, and more all tucked away on top of my home office cabinets so I don't have to see or hear them - all daisy-chained off one of these great cables.  Really amazing tech.

Does this support Thunderbolt 2 speed?  I'm connecting a new MacPro and an Audio Interface.  The first cable I had didn't work.

Will this work with the blackmagic intensity extreme?

If you have the thunderbolt Intensity Extreme, yes absolutely. There is also a USB 3.0 Intensity Extreme which this of course won't work with. This is one of the best thunderbolt cables I've ever bought. Very fast, very reliable, great length.
