The loop at the end broke off. I'd like to drill a hole in the plastic part of the key. Where in the head of the key, is the transponder?

Replacements are super cheap in cost and pretty good quality. Just replace it. 👍

Will this fit a 2010 Ford F-150 (my key does not have remote in key)

Probably. It fit our 2008 F-150 and I understand newer models all use a transponder key. I learned through this process that a transponder key has a chip in it that makes the vehicle more secure but does not necessarily act as a remote. It is critically important to have two transponder keys as they are more difficult to duplicate and have to be programmed. BTW. when it comes time to program them look for a YouTube video that shows a simple process of turning the key a crazy number of times. If you follow the instructions to the best of your ability it is easy, although the first time it might not work. There were videos that claim that you have to leave the key in for 30 minutes to program it. That was NOT the case for us.

will these keys work without making a copy from the original key? lost original key

A locksmith can make a key pattern from your ignition to cut these keys. The problem is that these keys will need the originals to program them to the anti-theft system. Without them, the keys will not link to the ECM and won’t start the car. You’ll need to visit a Ford Dealer.

Are these diy programmable with 1 working existing key only (not 2( for 2002 ford f150?

When I did mine I used my Autel ms906bt, there was a couple of steps to do. I'm not sure if they are programmable without a scan tool. I had to replace the instrument cluster because it shorted out and the PATS system locked it out and he only had 1 working key.

The keys matched the size and shape of my originals (for a 2003 Ford Windstar SEL) and when I got them cut, they unlocked/locked the car door and turned in the ignition. But when I tried to teach the keys so they would start the engine, I got an ERR on the dashboard display and the keys could not be "taught" the the vehicle. Eventually I found another set of instructions online for programming these keys and was successful.

Easy to program and works perfectly but be aware: THE KEY NEEDS TO BE CUT. Pretty obvious but I honestly hadn't thought of that. The hardware store charged twice as much to cut the keys as I paid for them but still much less than going through a locksmith. For my car, I needed 2 working keys in order to program these two so look at what your vehicle requires in order to program these blanks.

This replacement was a great price. After I received the product I took it to homedepot, which is the closest Key cutter to my. They cut the keys and I programmed them easily. This does not have the ford logo on it, which is not surprising since it's not a ford product, however otherwise looks identical. Would buy again. Also VERY easy to program, as long as you have both original keys.
