F7NP 4K Dash Cam Front Rear, STARVIS 2 Sensor, Free Card Included

First things first! I selected this camera and the hard wire kit for purchase (with many other choices available) for two reasons: (1) a very positive review I read regarding SERVICE and (2) PRICE. The service I received from a guy who calls himself FRANK was outstanding, particularly in this time when mediocre or non-existent service has become all too common. They provide only email service with a statement that they aim to reply to service inquiries within 10 hours. FRANK met that target with flying colors including some replies that were created at 10 PM (Dallas time). Maybe that was 9 AM wherever Frank is but nonetheless support was provided in a very timely manner. Accolades to both Frank and the company he works for as it relates to providing excellent service! I needed a longer cable for the Hardwire kit and the rear camera as well. Frank was able to provide both quickly. He sent an unsolicited email asking about my install progress. Like I said, excellent service! The small display will show you what the front camera sees. The upper left quadrant of the screen is overlaid with what the rear camera sees, but separate files for the front and rear cameras are being created. The quadrant of the front camera that is overlaid by the rear camera is preserved in the recorded file. The display itself is so small as to be unobtrusive on your windshield. It’s also so small as to be unusable (to my old eyes anyway) for anything more than confirming that a recording is being made. This is not a negative, just a statement of fact. I pull the Micro SD out to play on my PC using a 46” monitor. This is REAL 4k and the clarity is awesome! On such a large screen I was able to zoom in and read license plates that I was not expecting. The wide angle of both cameras gives excellent coverage of areas you might be happy to have in case of providing evidence of who did what to whom. The camera comes with a 32GB micro SD card. You might want to get a 256GB micro SD card. This media will hold 2,000 one minute files, 1,000 each for the two cameras. That number of files, at 4K and 1024x768 (F/R) resolution will hold about 17 hours of video. So far I’ve decided to let the cameras record all the time, even when parked overnight. I was concerned about running the car battery down, and I wanted to see if the camera will actually shut down when it detects that the car battery voltage has dropped to 11.8 volts as claimed. I was surprised to learn that even after 36 hours of continuous recording with the engine off the car started right up without any hint of a low battery. I also learned that with continuous recording the camera and the SD card get very hot. This is during a time frame when temps here in Dallas have exceeded 100 degrees every day so I guess everything deserves to run hot. No failures of any kind occurred. On balance I can say that I’m very pleased with this purchase, the camera and service earned a big thumbs up and 5-stars. UPDATE 15 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE: I've had several problems with the extended length cable that runs from the windshield mounted display at the top of the windshield to the fuse panel in the trunk of my Corvette where the battery is. I'm writing this update not to complain about the product but to provide ACCOLADES to the way the help desk has responded to my service needs. I've had numerous interactions with several people who man the help desk. While the product has been less than 100% reliable the service has been so great that I stand by my initial 5-star rating. ANY product can have an issue. BUT many companies these days provide such poor service (or no service) that they ADD to the users problems rather than solving whatever problem exists. BUY THIS PRODUCT with the assurance that help will be there when you need it.

I purchased this camera 2.5 years ago, and recently it stopped working. It seemed to be a system glitch—it simply froze. Two of my friends also bought the same camera, and theirs have been working perfectly fine. I hesitated to contact the seller because the warranty is only 18 months, so my camera was clearly out of warranty. However, I reached out through WhatsApp. The representative was very helpful and gave me instructions on how to fix the issue, but unfortunately, nothing worked. After that, they simply sent me a new camera! I’m pleasantly shocked. I’m writing this review because I want people to know that this is a responsible seller with excellent customer service. And I really like the camera!

Easy to setup and use. Great video quality and wifi sharing. Works great!

Pros: works as intended, has app support, easly useable after installation. Night vision is decent. Included card holds lots of data. The mids: five minute time segments, no clear front/rear support in app, unless hardwired you must connect each time. Cons: installation can be difficult in smaller cars, stickers to mount can fall off during first 24 hours (tbf it has stayed since), the installation is big- we have too much slack and are trying to make it work. Conclusion: 7.5/10- solid, but could use work. Easily worth the money.

I purchased this camera before moving to a big city that is known to have an increase with car break-ins and damage to personal vehicles. My plan was to purchase the hardwire kit and have parking mode running as a second set of eyes on my car. Anyway, the installation of both the camera and hardwire kit was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there won’t be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldn’t be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large “P” on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In support’s first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didn’t work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didn’t work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You can’t exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photo… Well, now I have jerked around with this camera and these customer/tech “support” people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if you’re still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day. Edit to add: After receiving this review, RedTiger did reach out to me. In an effort to make things right, a different customer service representative said they would be sending me replacement products. I still plan on keeping this review up, as it was a nightmare dealing with the camera, hardwire kit, and trying to resolve the issues we were having. I feel everyone deserves to know if they are thinking about purchasing! However, everyone also deserves to know that RedTiger reached out and tried to clear the air. Good luck to all of you folks. We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.

The after-sale support is outstanding. The customer service reps (CSR) promptly respond to your needs. I had occasion to contact RedTiger by phone on one issue, and by email on another. Both cases, the CSRs sent me an additional product that solved my problem, promptly. They definitely wanted my experience to be a successful install. The 1st issue was an apparent missing fuse tap in the hard-wire kit that I ordered. Quickly followed up with an extra fuse tap mailing. No listening to music while waiting for a CSR...just a prompt answer. The 2nd issue was the suction-cup camera mount that would not adhere to the frits on the windshield. Even 3M VHB tape would not adhere to the soft plastic on the suction-cup mount. The CSR sent me the REDTIGER Adhesive Mount F17 Dash Cam with GPS Module which mounts on their adhesive static film. Use a heat gun or hair drier on low heat to press the film onto the frits. Works great on the frits! So the product is excellent, as well as the customer support. The challenge is in the cabling. My car has airbags in the driver’s A-pillar, as well as air-curtains between the B & C-pillars for the rear passenger. Installing the rear camera in the headliner trim would interfere with the air-curtain, and the most direct route on the A-pillar would interfere with the airbag. The air bags will deploy, regardless of the cables. But the cables will present a laceration hazard to the passenger(s), propelled by the explosive force of the airbag. You can find YT vids advising for various car models. So, for the rear camera cable, I chose a cable-way on the floor of the car, bundled with other cables. For the A-pillar, I removed the trim cover, and installed the cable on the backside of the airbag, bundling it with the other manufacturer’s cables. The final challenge is getting all the trim reinstalled without breaking the plastic body trim clips. If you choose to hard-wire the dash-cam, you will need a device such as a multi-meter to (1) ID which circuits are always on and which are ignition switchable in the fuse box, and (2) the hot and cold side of the tapped fuse slot. The polarity of the fuse-taps are important (see image). The fuse-taps can be installed two different ways. If the fuse-tap are reversed, two fuses will be in parallel….a bad idea. It will put electrical load on the original fuse, causing it to continually blow. And it may also make the second fuse to blow slower…..not protecting the intended circuit. Use a multi-meter to correctly ID the polarity of the fuse installation. Also, the new dash-cam fuse must be installed in the top slot and the former fuse on the bottom of the fuse tap for proper protection. There are YT vids that will help you on this, such as the Anthony J350 or Simple DIY channel. Overall, the RedTiger brand is an excellent value, and a quality product. Instructions are too small for me to read, but the RedTiger website offers a much improved installation guide. Packaging very good. I would buy this item again.

This dash cam was easy to install and use. It even helped me during a fender-bender and captured several accidents in 4K. The video resolution is excellent, and I felt more secure having it on the road. The app can be very slow when downloading videos, so I recommend using an SD card adapter to transfer footage directly to a computer. The suction cup also lost its grip after being exposed to temperatures around 100°F, although that is understandable given the extreme heat. Sadly, the camera eventually stopped working properly after 2.5 years. The screen repeatedly froze, and neither resetting the device nor reformatting the SD card resolved the issue. The warranty is good for 18 months from the date of purchase. Therefore, I could not tap into this. I never used parking mode, so I cannot comment on that feature. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this dash cam and appreciated the protection and peace of mind it provided. I recommended it to my family, friends, and coworkers. Now I am disappointed that it no longer works, as I had hoped to get at least 5 years of use from it.

The kit was delivered in a high quality box with everything needed to plug in and work with minimal set up. The instructions are simple to follow but I think most people would find the settings quite easy to follow simply by plugging it in and having a play with the buttons. Having been a user of dashcams for the last 15 years, I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality & feel of the unit. The gps module is part of the mounting bracket which sticks easily to the screen and in turn, the camera is held in place on the slide-on bracket by a strong magnet. Although delivered with a 32gb card, I fitted a good quality 256gb memory card to give me plenty of storage capacity at the highest quality camera settings. The app was easy enough to download and use on the Android platform and the desktop app on windows works without issue and provide all relevant details. I have yet to try the rear view camera which is not so easy to fit in my 4x4 pickup which also has a rear canopy - The window of which I can never really see through due to the dust & muck attracted to the rear window! Luckily my truck driving experience has taught me to rely on my wing mirrors rather the rear view. I am considering setting this camera up as an 'in cab' monitor. The sound quality of the recordings is good - I just pray that in the event that I have an incident that requires me to produce the footage, I have some decent music playing and that I'm not, god forbid, singing! The night vision seems good. I am mostly in rural areas but the first trip for me included rural & dark main roads, plus lit motorway and towns so a good mixture and appears good throughout. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the unit and having given it a good test to prove the capability and quality, I will now fit the hard wire kit. One of the main reasons I chose this unit was the Super capacitor rather than a battery which from personal experience have found do not like potential wide range of temperatures in cars. I may add to my review once I have experience of the summer temperatures. Compared to other cameras & kit on the market, I would recommend that you add this to your final list for serious consideration.

good unit it's works

This does not deserve the amount of 5 star reviews it gets. I've broken down the pros and cons to show why. Pros: - Front dash cam is high quality. - Basic bells and whistles extras. Cons: - Installation can be fiddly and non adjustable beyond tilting up or down. - Rear camera is very low quality. I thought 2.5k from the product heading, but it is for the front camera to increase recording FPS. The rear camera is 1080p, which is very low by today's standards. - It overheats, which will age components at an accelerated rate. - It stops working the moment the engine is off, meaning it won't record a potential accident that affects the power/engine. - It gets tedious having to go through settings and enable WiFi through the dash cam every time. - While connected to the dash cam WiFi, your phone is essentially in offline mode and cannot use basic features such as music streaming and take calls over internet (WhatsApp, Teams, etc.). - The app is little more than Google maps in offline mode with dash cam live stream taking up the top half of the screen, not worth the sacrifice when Google maps + mobile data gives you so much more. The current design means that you are better off not using the app until after your drive is over to access stored footage then, which defeats the purpose of the majority of the features on offer. The trade-offs and design flaws are not worth more than 2 stars at most, and I cannot understand all the high ratings. Most of the accurate reviews I've seen are in the 1-2 star region for this product.
