Great Cam and a Great Price! Packed with features
We purchased the F7N Redtiger camera about 18 months ago and it has now paid for itself 100x over when it provided evidence to the police and insurance that my wife was not the one at fault in an accident that totaled her vehicle and the other party lied to the police. My wife was going to get the ticket after the officer talked to the other party first, but she was able to show the officer the cam video and they reversed course and issued the ticket to the other party. Then the other party lied to their insurance, but after providing the video to their insurance, the adjuster immediately accepted 100% responsibility. Easy to install and with clearly written English instructions. Great suction cup with integrated GPS antenna makes installation a breeze. Cam will slide off mount if you want to hide it while parked without removing the entire mount. Crystal clear video, front at 4k and back at 2k, produce high resolution video where you can read license plates and even identify who was driving another vehicle. Even more importantly, it has a good app that you can use to directly download video from the cam without pulling the card and taking it to a computer. Just in case you are in an accident, you can instantly download the relevant video to your phone and show to Law Enforcement and e-mail to your insurance company. This is hugely important so a ticket can be issued to the at-fault party on scene as my wife did. If you can't show the officer when writing the report, they may issue the ticket to the wrong party or no one if they can't figure out who was at fault. If this happens, it's a long up-hill battle to get the other party's insurance to pay out and the police will never cancel an incorrectly issued ticket, so it forces you to go to court to defend yourself. If you are in a serious accident (if anyone goes to the hospital, it's serious), the officer may confiscate the SD card or even the whole camera for evidence. You may not get it back for weeks or even months. Sometimes they get lost an then you have nothing. Have a copy safely on your phone so you can give it to your insurance company and lawyer immediately! Buy the REDTIGER F7N Dash Cam Hardwire Kit to go with it if you want 24/7 monitoring without killing your car battery. Never wonder who backed into you in a parking lot or keyed your car if it happens to you. Some things that set Redtiger apart from the others: They actually have tech support. We had an issue with one camera not liking our SD card and contacted support to see if we had a bum Cam or bad setting as the issue was intermittent. Turns out it was just a faulty card after running a write test on the computer. Not a big issue as SD cards are cheap, but good to know that if you have an issue that Redtiger does support what they sell. Software updates. We've owned the F7N for about 18 months and have received software updates to improve functionality. The cam was great when we got it and even better now with new features added. Proof in the pudding: We liked our F7N so much we just bought another Redtiger cam, a F7N Touch, for a new (to us) vehicle and it's great too. Note: I wasn't paid for this review nor given a demo unit or anything else. I'm only a satisfied customer that is enjoying the premium quality and features at a great price vs the big-name competitors and their high prices.

Great Support Staff
This is my first dash cam, so other than reading reviews, I new very little. It's been my experience that the accompanying instruction manuals are often of little help, although this one was slightly better. I also turned to youtube but even they, left things out, that I wanted to know. How do you turn the unit on and off, how do you pause a recording, why are there only four buttons and so many icons and how am I supposed to remember how to use the same button for a variety of functions? There was a phone number in the manual, so I figured I'd better call it in hopes of reducing my frustrations. They were extremely accommodating and ran me though a one on one, step by step, assistance. I also kept trying to use this cam as a touch screen, since after all, every phone these days has this feature. It was explained to me that there was a touch screen but that I had ordered a model without. Believe it, or not, they helped me out with that and I now have a Touch model, F7NT. I gave this five stars because this company is amazing and the cameras are superb. I therefore did not detract a star because I am convinced that they will listen closely, make a few changes and then they will have the best possible cams. Negatives: Too many icons on the cam video screen. The icons are too small and virtually useless because they are on your windshield, which is difficult to reach. All this does is create confusion. Sometimes the cam wants you to turn off wi-fi to access features, which is ridiculous. Wi-Fi should always be on whenever the phone is nearby and it should record to your phone so that you can access all features as you like on your phone. The small screen on the cam is virtually useless. Playback choices should not be visible on the cam. Remove as many icons as possible and apply them only after video is downloaded to your phone or to a computer. Negatives: Downloading to a phone is nearly impossible or at the very least, far too tedious. Solution: Remove the SD card from the cam, utilize a thumb drive for the SD card and view your video on your laptop or PC. There is a Redtiger Player available that you can and should download that contains all of the functions for playback of this cam. Negatives: When playing back the video the informational text for things like time stamp, GPS, etc. shows up at the bottom of the screen, which can sometimes make it hard to read, since it's also very small. Solution: Place the informational text at the top of the screen, which generally is viewing SKY, and make it larger since this area is not of importance in any way. Negatives: There is a time setting where when files are created, you must choose - 1 minute, 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Thereby after downloading files you can select from a bunch of files, presumably to facilitate finding the file you wanted. Still tedious indeed. Solution: As the cam is recording, allow the recording to directly access and download to your phone without interruption. Perhaps have a 1 hour period and then over write to withhold no more than one hour on your phone. If there has been an occurrence you can simply SAVE the file. To view it you could easily see it on your phone or you could send it to your big screen tv. The SD card would merely become a backup for emergency situations. Bottom Line: The suggestions above are really about User Friendliness. If anything, I believe that they have attempted to input too many features. I'm recommending simplifying the process with slightly different thinking. I also recommend buying the Touch model, as without it, it's somewhat awkward to use. The picture quality is great, front and back and the service is excellent. You get what you pay for. The method of operation and the thought pattern for usage should be that you view your video on a laptop, or pc, on the Player app that is provided. In short, the cam records, the app provides viewing via computer. I really like the app since it provides both front and rear at the same time, plus you can zoom the view and even choose only front or only back as you like. All info is visible like GPS, a google may of travel, speed of travel, date and time. This app is a very important part of the operation. Still it could use a bit of tweaking. Overall, I love this thing. I can't imagine what it would have been like to have this in the early 80s when I was a private investigator.

BEST CAM. IT'S ALL YOU NEED.
This cam is EXCELLENT. It is so sleek and compact with the wide, narrow screen. Both front and rear are super clear. Night vision is great. Parking mode is great. Hardwire installation is a breeze. Rear cam has a cord long enough for just about any vehicle, and the wire gauge is small enough to coil and tuck the excess up in the headliner without any sign of it. App works great, easy to sort all videos. With the hardwire, it's set it and forget it. Don't even have to think about it. Comes on and off with the ignition, never has failed. There is an easy way to tell if the parking mode is working, You only would see it if you know about it.

Pretty good
So, this is my second dash cam, in less than a month. I bought a Garmin first, thinking the brand name would be key, but the software was terrible and they make you think you need a subscription to do this and it was only 1080p so the video wasn't great. So, I returned that and got this "4K" unit, hoping for better. I don't know if I really buy that it's 4k, you can't make out license plates unless you are within 20 feet or so. Might be more due to the wide angle than the resolution but it's disappointing. I almost hit a deer the other night in twilight conditions and the camera didn't do great. The deer is very blurry in the video and the slow framerate caused me to only see it 3 times as it crossed in front of me. So, again this is my first dashcam and perhaps I am expecting too much, especially at this price. Here are the good things about it: Came with a great tool for tucking in the wires Wire lengths were good Sticks to the window great (so far anyway) Besides having front view on the screen, back view, front with back view, it also has a mode where it just shows you a compass and your speed. I love this feature and leave it on that all the time. One other quirk. When you tap the upper right button, it's supposed to save that video for you. It seems to be intermittent whether this works or not. I still have to play with it more to see if I'm doing something wrong. Snaphots work fine, but the wide angle distortion makes anything but close up stuff hard to make out. Oh, and in case you are wondering how this all works, like I did before I bought this, the camera constantly records video in 1min, 3min or 5 min chunks (selectable). It keeps doing that until the card is full and then starts over. To access these videos, you can either remove the SD card and pop it in your computer to review, or you can connect to the unit in your car by joining your phone to its Wifi connection and then download them to your phone through that app (limit 10 at a time which is a bummer). Slightly inconvenient, but way better than being forced to buy a monthly subscription! I might try another one sometime, but this one is 'good enough' for now and a good starter version.

Do NOT buy this camera if you plan to use parking mode…
I purchased this camera before moving to a big city that is known to have an increase with car break-ins and damage to personal vehicles. My plan was to purchase the hardwire kit and have parking mode running as a second set of eyes on my car. Anyway, the installation of both the camera and hardwire kit was fairly straightforward. Anybody that can operate a smartphone could navigate the settings on one of these cameras. I would say that the memory card provided is pretty small and once the camera starts recording, you notice there won’t be space for very much footage - especially if you intend to capture videos in parking mode. The problem I had was communication between the app, the camera, and the hardwire kit. There was always some sort of issue! This hardwire kit is fairly easy to install. One wire goes to the ground, one to a constant hot (such as the battery) so it always has power, and the last wire to ACC (some sort of accessory) which has power when the car is on, but turns off when you shut the car off. We tried many variations of ACC and constant connection, made sure there was proper voltage, even purchased a larger memory card, tested and REtested the connection with an electric light tester, etc. The camera was always showing it had power and that it was recording when it should have been, but the footage wouldn’t be there from when the camera should have been recording in parking mode. All settings for parking mode were arranged. The camera recognized the hardwire kit and displayed a large “P” on it which is the icon for parking mode, but again, there was never any footage. After all of this, I reached out to RedTiger customer service AND tech support. They STARTED off nice. In support’s first response, they said rest assured if I followed the troubleshooting they sent me and it didn’t work, they would replace my items. Well, guess what? The troubleshooting didn’t work and then they jerked me around, asked me a million more questions, asked for photos, the whole nine yards. I sent everything they asked for, even more, and maybe that was my mistake. Next, they would say oh I need another photo or send me another troubleshooting list even though they sent that same one to me 2 emails prior. I mean how different can a fuse box look from one photo to another? You can’t exactly cram a phone or camera up there to take a photo… Well, now I have jerked around with this camera and these customer/tech “support” people for almost a month. The camera arrived on March 4th and it is now March 26th. Of course this is a long review, and if you’re still with me, I applaud you. Save yourself the time, energy, stress, and sanity. Do NOT buy this camera especially if you plan on using the parking mode! After this disaster, I purchased the ROVE brand dual dash cam. It took the same amount of time to set up as this travesty. The ROVE camera announces when it is switching modes (you can also turn that feature off), Parking mode on/off, recording, stop recording, Wi-Fi on, WiFi off, etc. The best part is - all of my footage is there! It has been like night and day. Edit to add: After receiving this review, RedTiger did reach out to me. In an effort to make things right, a different customer service representative said they would be sending me replacement products. I still plan on keeping this review up, as it was a nightmare dealing with the camera, hardwire kit, and trying to resolve the issues we were having. I feel everyone deserves to know if they are thinking about purchasing! However, everyone also deserves to know that RedTiger reached out and tried to clear the air. Good luck to all of you folks. I hope you find the camera that best fits your needs!

Perfect Dashcam for Honda HR-V in SoFlo
Driving in SoFlo is absolutely wild, bordering lawless, IYKYK. Several times I’ve been in incidents not at fault, but the other drivers ran, leaving me unable unable to prove what happened or hold the other parties responsible. I got this dashcam to use in my Honda HR-V for peace of mind and have now had it nearly 2.5yrs. I continue to be happy with the video quality, easy installation, video storage and retrieval, etc. I’ve never installed something like this before so I watched a couple of how-to videos and was able to easily run the wires through the car. The whole process from start to camera rolling and linked took about an hour. Several times I’ve had to download video for police, accidents I witnessed, luckily not my own. Each time took approx 5min to download and save in my phone. Really came in handy for the insurance company as the video was more than enough and no further statements were requested. I noticed videos at night take longer to load than videos during the day. The customer service is also top tier. Recently the suction cup started failing, no matter how much I cleaned the window until finally it wouldn’t stay up at all. I messaged the seller about the issue to see what could be done. Their response was less than 24hrs and they immediately offered shipping the adhesive mount, no charge, and confirmed it would be compatible with the camera since the mounts seem to be specific to the camera model. I got the adhesive mount in 3 days and took less than 2min to install. I can already tell the mount is far more secure, no matter the amount of poking and prodding, the camera is not moving. The adhesive mount also takes up significantly less room on the window which allows more options for placement and more window visibility. I’ve recommended this camera to many people, several of which who are also happy with their cameras.

Two years in — still solid, and the customer service sealed it
I've had this REDTIGER F7NP 4K front/rear dash cam for about two and a half years and it's been reliable the whole time. The 4K front footage is sharp, the night vision holds up well, and the WiFi app makes pulling clips off it easy. The one thing that eventually wore out was the suction cup mount — it cracked and stopped sealing. I reached out to REDTIGER expecting a hassle since I was well past the warranty window and had bought through Amazon, not their site. Instead they shipped me a free replacement mount, no charge, and it arrived in just a few days. Installed in minutes and it's holding rock-solid. I rarely leave reviews, but a company that stands behind its product years after the sale earns one. If you're deciding between dash cams, the hardware is good and the support behind it is even better.

Excellent Customer Service, Hardware and Cold Weather Issues
I give 3 stars for the customer service! I purchased this dash cam on January 19, 2024. I took quite a while to install it and didn’t fully install everything until around December 2024. In January 2025, my parked car was hit from behind during a fresh snowstorm, and the person at fault left the scene. Since this wasn’t the first time my parked car was hit, I purchased the hardware kit in hopes of having parking mode active 24/7. Because I tend to delay installing things, I didn’t install the hardware kit until around August 2025. Once I realized the hardware kit wasn’t working properly, I was already outside the return window. I still reached out to customer service. After sending pictures of the hardware kit, my order number, device number, and additional photos, they sent me a replacement hardware kit, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the replacement kit was extremely difficult to install. I had four different people try, and I also attempted myself, but it never worked. By January 2026, the camera completely stopped working. It didn’t even last a full year after installation. I believe extreme cold temperatures played a role. I live in New Jersey, and during these recent cold weeks, even my Toyota RAV4 battery died three times, which shows just how cold it has been. A dash cam used in this climate needs to be able to withstand low temperatures. On a positive note, the cable length is pretty long. When I took my car to the body shop, they hid all the cables without me even asking, and they did a great job. Because of that, removing the entire setup now would be difficult, so I’ll most likely just remove the camera itself. The rear camera quality was good at first, but over time it became very blurry. The headlights of cars behind me no longer reflect properly. They look like blobs, and I can’t make out license plates or clear details. The front camera is the one that fully stopped working. The rear camera adhesive held very well. The front camera suction is mid at best. Weather changes caused it to lose suction, and mid-drive the camera would fall, which is distracting and unsafe. I even considered gluing it, but thankfully I didn’t, since the camera eventually died. Overall, I expected this product to last a long time, and it didn’t. Customer service was genuinely great, though. If you purchase this product, make sure you install everything immediately and contact customer service right away if anything seems faulty.

Read before buying!!
This does not deserve the amount of 5 star reviews it gets. I've broken down the pros and cons to show why. Pros: - Front dash cam is high quality. - Basic bells and whistles extras. Cons: - Installation can be fiddly and non adjustable beyond tilting up or down. - Rear camera is very low quality. I thought 2.5k from the product heading, but it is for the front camera to increase recording FPS. The rear camera is 1080p, which is very low by today's standards. - It overheats, which will age components at an accelerated rate. - It stops working the moment the engine is off, meaning it won't record a potential accident that affects the power/engine. - It gets tedious having to go through settings and enable WiFi through the dash cam every time. - While connected to the dash cam WiFi, your phone is essentially in offline mode and cannot use basic features such as music streaming and take calls over internet (WhatsApp, Teams, etc.). - The app is little more than Google maps in offline mode with dash cam live stream taking up the top half of the screen, not worth the sacrifice when Google maps + mobile data gives you so much more. The current design means that you are better off not using the app until after your drive is over to access stored footage then, which defeats the purpose of the majority of the features on offer. The trade-offs and design flaws are not worth more than 2 stars at most, and I cannot understand all the high ratings. Most of the accurate reviews I've seen are in the 1-2 star region for this product.
