Alxum 3.0 did it all from Laptop one drive after the other.
I had a challenge to work on a IDE HDD, a SATA HDD and initialize a Samsung 4TB SSD. Alxum 3.0 did it all from Laptop one after the other. I was pleased with the result and the purchase and deliver of this USB 3.0 drive interface.

Works flawlessly with Windows 10/11
Works flawlessly on Windows 10/11 Manual states not for Mac and Linux but that might just be in reference to their backup application? So it might work in standard USB transfer mode - try at your own will. Have tried it with old 3.5 & 2.5 inch PATA IDE and SATA hard drives. But you don’t need to download any software as per the QR card code or webpage listed in the instructions if you are just doing file transfers. The link redirects you to sign into your Microsoft live account but there are no further links to the “AI OTB” software. It makes me wonder if it’s a scam link so don’t do it unless you’re comfortable with it or can verify it is a legit redirection and can find the software it states (I could not find their backup application). Perhaps the seller can supply a newer valid link to their backup software for download. Despite this, I still gave it five stars as it worked straight out of the box with no setup required.

Great IDE hard drive adapter
I really love this device. I'm using it with a Ubuntu (linux) PC to see what's on old drives and wipe them before disposal. It is really convenient because of it small size and weight. Yes it takes up slightly more desk space than other units that have the vertical slots but it is acceptable for the limited time I use it and it stores away in a smaller space. I didn't have any SATA drives to use with it, so I can't say about that interface. I used IDE big PC disks and small laptop disks. Connections were easy to make and stayed well connected throughout my operations on the drives. Since I'm not using it on a Windows PC, one touch backup (OTB) wasn't available to experiment with.
